aTunes News: YPM Calendar
Quick update everyone! If you look at the tabs up top you’ll see a new page entitled “YPM Calendar“. Clicking it will take you to a Google Calendar page that contains the dates for important Yellow People Music events! It’s a bit bare bones now but hopefully it’ll become more and more full over time.
Feel free to shoot me an email at (giftedthought at gmail dot com) if you have any suggested calendar events!

Ken Oak Band to release new album and band name

The Ken Oak Band has just announced via Myspace that they will be releasing a new album on March 26th. Also, it seems they will be rebranding themselves as Oak & Gorski.
Personally I can’t wait for the album. These two create great music. But I do question the move to renaming their band. Although I do understand that they are very much a duo and deserve equal billing, changing the band name after all these years may set them back in terms of recognition and word of mouth.
Read the myspace bulletin after the break.
Just ‘Cause: A Humble BoA
I remember seeing this a while back and thinking how crazy it is that even with all the success BoA has had all over asia, it still hasn’t really gone to her head. This is a performance of her in Japan. After she finishes the crowd continues and just watch her reaction.
Now as she actively works to make inroads into the US music industry it’s good to see the support she still has back in Asia. Maybe this can one day happen for her in the US?
I think its refreshing to see real emotions coming from real people who ordinarily don’t have the luxury of being… real.
