Korean KPOP group Davichi is one of those talented, slighly underrated groups that have the skills but not quite the infectious star quality that so many lesser talented succesful singers have. Yea, reading that back it made no sense but whatever.
Anyways, I generally enjoy their songs. They aren’t really amazing but definitely enjoyable. Their newest song is no different… that is until you get to the English parts and it makes you think “Wait, WTF are they saying?”
You see… it’s complete and utter gibberish. Like taking something and running it through google translator and using that as your final version. What’s even worse, they chose to highlight the English in their music video.
“You got feel my man”
“I got you not a friend, gonna be you be cry”
Sure, whatever you say. I think Bi must have wrote their lyrics.
After missing a week due to my escapades in China, we’re back again with another Weekly Thursday Freebie.
This time we bring to you a pretty decent collaboration between Jin and Japanese MC Sphere of Influence from a couple years back. It’s nothing earth shattering but a cool song/music video that showcases an international collabo.
As always, feel free to view it on youtube first before deciding to waste precious minutes downloading.
With so much news about so many different KPOP artists attempting to cross over to the US simultaneously I decided it’s best to group it all together and let you read it yourselves. AKA I’m lazy and actually a bit over saturated by the whole fad.
As the Wonder Girls train and prepare in the US, they have partnered with AllKpop to bring you exclusive content and insight.
It appears Crown J will be in the A[tlanta] this May, performing and preparing for a US debut. Personally, I’m a bit underwhelmed. He’s a charismatic and fairly decent rapper but pales to many of the other asian american artists already trying to make it in the states.
Some girl won a date with Se7en in LA. Oh Em Gee. El Oh El. Double you Tee Eff. Yay.
The Southern California Christian music event: Inspire is slated to take place May 23rd in LA. A slew of Asian American artists are also slated to perform including r&b crooner Passion, Acoustic Hip-Pop group Downbeat (shout out to Jacqueline Chun!), Sheri Yi, and more!
If you’re in the area be sure to check it out for a time of good music and fellowship.

Personally I’m a big fan of the single ‘Come Back to Me’. Don’t forget, the album releases May 12th! Also head over to the product page on Amazon for an exclusive behind the music peek at the album.
Recently Manifest & Lyricks travelled to Switzerland to do a show. During some of their down time they put together a new single and video with a group called Gedankenstrich (Line of Thought).
It’s great to see them go international and rip it with some European MC’s. The track and video are pretty simple but straight Hip-Hop. Not as hot as ‘One of the Best‘ but still good stuff.
The video editing/direction definitely has Lyrick’s fingerprints all over it. His style is pretty defined at this point.
David Choi & Wong Fu Productions have teamed up to bring you DC’s first ever music video. Sure David has had a TON of youtube videos, but never an official one. This MV was premiered this past weekend at an event and is now available to all.
The song is ‘Wont Even Start’ from David’s latest album, Only You.
All in all, it’s a clean, enjoyable video. Props to Lana McKissack, she did a commendable job acting.
PS, it was cool seeing all the WongFu merchandise. I think I just might have to order a tee now.
