Worst Ever: Freestyle Battle
ARW seems to always find the craziest videos. This is no different.
Obama! Obama! My Mama like Obama!
Sigh… Given, I know english isn’t the kid’s first language… but this is just ridiculous.
And I love how that asian girl in the back is just chilling. haha
J. Reyez releases free mixtape

AznRaps has announced that J. Reyez, a Candian MC with a growing fanbase, has just released his new mixtape ‘One Step Closer’ as a free download. Haven’t gotten a chance to listen to it yet but I’ll add it to the pile of music I hope to review for you.
Here’s a preview of one of the tracks.
Back cover and link after the jump.
New Bambu MV – ‘Quit’
Check out the freshly released music video for Bambu‘s single ‘Quit’. The song was produced by none other than Illmind, who has carved soundscapes for nearly everyone in the game.
The video is real clean, quality wise, but nothing too out of the ordinary. The song is pretty hot on the other hand. If you’re interested, you can purchase the album at his website.
Johnnyphlo interview w/ SRadioClub
SRadioClub has a great audio interview with Johnnyphlo. It’s a little bit on the longer side, but check it out if you got the time. It’s a real insightful conversation and it’s always interesting to hear more directly from the artist themselves.

New Roscoe Umali Single: Never Fallin’

Roscoe Umali has just debuted his newest single entitled ‘Never Fallin’ ft. One Block and 1st Place. It has a fun retro summer feel. Definitely fitting for the beginning of the season. It’s a different sound for Roscoe but he adapted well. It’s actually pretty poppy.
Check it out at his myspace!
Just ‘Cause: The Nehemiah Band – 90′s Medley
Rock group The Nehemiah Band recently posted up a video clip of them goofing off and jamming to a medley of X-Men (Cartoon series), ‘The Rock’ intro, and last but not least, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
It’s dumb, funny, genius, silly all wrapped into a neat 3 minute package. Brings back memories.
What’d you think of the clip?
Wonder Girls feature w/ Entertainment Weekly

Bump This has got the scoop on the Wonder Girls being covered and featured on the Entertainment Weekly website. Also, in case you missed it you can get the 30 second preview of their upcoming English release for “Nobody” after the jump. I’m honestly a little excited and a little pessimistic about their US debut & tour with the Jonas Brothers. They definitely have the charm, but is it enough to grab non asian audiences? And if they do alter their image for a western demographic, will they lose their initial appeal?
Joe Hahn directs Linkin Park video for Transformers 2 theme

KoreanBeacon has got the scoop on Linkin Park DJ/producer Joe Hahn shooting the music video for the band. The song is a part of the upcoming Transformers 2 movie (God I hope its awesome) after the big success of their participation in the first one. The song is entitled ‘New Divide’.
Uptown repackages album w/ new single
New Uptown members, korean american MC’s Chan, Maniac, and Swings, along with veteran member Chris Jung released a repackaged version of their album last month. This went completely under the radar for me but our good friends at ARW posted up the music video today.
The song is entitled ‘Baby Baby’.
Honestly I think it’s just aight. It was kinda interesting to hear Chan on auto-tune a little bit. The two featuring female vocals are kinda forgettable. It’s stuff like this that makes me miss Tasha. She needs to drop another album. Also, I’m not completely hating on their new direction, cause their album really wasnt that bad… but in a recent article they were quoted as saying the following:
“We are basically different people and different style from the old group,” said Maniac, the 28-year-old rapper from Georgia, adding that the members do not feel like they are being influenced by the previous members’ somewhat negative images. Instead of West Coast hip-hop – which is more about “partying,” represented by artists like Usher and Lil Jon and is usually more popular in Korea – UPT said they aim to “stick to the roots of hip-hop,” explained Chan, 29, from New Jersey.
And based on what they’ve released so far, I’m not really sure they are doing that. What do you think?
