Critic’s Corner: Tim Be Told – From the Inside

l_f5c4127deb7743c488a11a191dc8666d[2]

I can’t remember exactly how I came across Tim Be Told, a pop/rock band hailing from Virginia, but I remember being skeptical for no good reason. Then I heard a few of their songs on their myspace and was completely surprised by the strength of the few singles they had available to stream at the time. When they announced they were releasing their new EP ‘From the Inside’, I was immediately intrigued and ordered a copy to really get a closer listen at what this band had to offer. Mixing together styles of Gospel, Pop, Rock, and Blues, Tim Be Told offers a pretty unique sound. So should you to check out their EP ‘From the Inside’?

Find out after the jump!

Chosen One release MV for ‘Two Steps Forward’

Chosen One, a Hip-Hop artist who’s been in the game but under the radar for a long time now has released a new track/MV entitled ‘Two Steps Forward’.

It’s a very bare bones, self produced, simple video that doesn’t really do the track justice. The track itself is pretty nice though, especially the beat.

New Paul Dateh Original “Blame Drew’s Cancer”

Paul Dateh has recorded a new song to support his friend Drew, currently battling cancer.

The concept of the track is to demoralize Drew’s cancer to the point where it can be defeated.

Drew, I don’t know who you are but a-Tunes wishes you the best.

DL the track HERE for free.

apl.de.ap releales MV for ‘Mama Filipina’

apl.de.ap, the filipino-american member of the black eyed peas has released a track dedicated to his motherland. Although the track reminds me a bit of eminem’s ‘Cleaning Out My Closet’, it’s still a fresh track that has a lot of heart. It’s a nice change of pace from the usual party oriented music of the BEP.

Nylon Pink releases MV for ‘Lipstick’

Rock band Nylon Pink (w/ model Kaila Yu as lead vocal) has just released their latest MV for the single lipstick.

It’s not bad, can’t say I love it though. The music video is… interesting. Kind of like if Josie & the Pussycat dolls grew up and had a weird acid trip…

It all oddly grows on you though.
