DJ Tiesto has teamed up for Priscilla Ahn for the track ‘I Am Strong’ off of his new upcoming album ‘Kaleidoscope’. The single is available today on iTunes. The track listing alone made me do a double take, Priscilla on a trance song?!? But you know what? It works really, really well. What a great, unexpected team up!

FM x LMFAO – The Party Rock Tour
I’m a day or so late on this but electro-hop group LMFAO has enlisted the Far East Movement to join them on a nation wide tour, hitting 31 stops total. The Paradiso Girls and Lady Gaga’s DJ Space Cowboy will also go along for the ride so if you haven’t seen FM in concert yet or missed their last tour with Epik High, then this will be a great chance to see finally em live!

Jin Releases ‘The Best’
Continuing where he left off with the last vlog, Jin’s dropped a new track over the Drake instrumental for ‘Best I Ever Had’.
So, I can appreciate where he’s going with this, and I’m happy for his newfound direction but I wasn’t feeling this track too much. It came off kind of played, but maybe that’s just me. Jin’s definitely talking about some good things here but it wasn’t nearly as fresh as his ‘Welcome to the Light Club’ track from a few weeks back.

Misnomer(s) Performance From SOLA Street Festival
Check out this recent performance of Misnomer(s) from the SOLA Street Festival in Bed Stuy Brooklyn from over the weekend. They performed their track ‘Too Many Things’ over the instrumental for ‘Bells of War’ by the Wu-Tang Clan. It was a pretty heartfelt performance. I like the MC’s energy though her voice takes some getting used to. The violin is always a nice touch. I’d like to see her go toe to toe with Paul Dateh in a violin-off haha.
TOKiMONSTA featured in Myspace Music Magazine in Japan
So I don’t read Japanese at all, but I’m pretty sure the picture in the right-center of the girl holding what I think is a turntable is TOKiMONSTA, a producer recently heard on dumbfoundead’s ‘Fun With Dumb‘ album. TOKi tweeted about the spread today and yes, to answer your question, Myspace does have an actual print magazine in Japan, crazy huh? Anyways congrats to TOKi for the recognition on an international scale!

IBU Releases ‘Love Is All Gone’
IBU, the R&B group based out of Chicago has dropped their single ‘Love Is All Gone’. You may remember that IBU recently announced they signed with Koch Records (n.k.a E1 Entertainment).
The song mixes in a throwback feel with current vocal stylings (auto-tune). I’m on the fence on this one. It gets better with each listen and it’s done very well but it just isn’t fresh. Regardless, these are some talented guys so I look forward to what else they have in store for us.

This morning Lyrics Born tweeted about the birth of his son w/ wife Joyo Velarde. A huge congratulations to them! I wonder if their kid is going to pick up where his parents will eventually leave off and keep pushing boundaries with music.
