Dumbfoundead vs PH Battle Released

The footage from the dumb/PH battle was finally released today.

The battle wasn’t as hot as I was hoping for since PH is a vet and dumb is on the rise but PH ended up choking a bit. Props to both artists but dumb took it easy. Make sure you check the interview at the end, it adds a lot of context.

Also, peep this footage of dumb & Rakaa doin their thing in Korea last month. History in the making!

Kina Grannis Covers Kings of Leon – Use Somebody

Kina Grannis continues to show love to her youtube fans and has posted up another cover, this time of the Kings of Leon song ‘Use Somebody’.

I’m feeling her rendition although you’ve been forewarned, the audio levels vary wildly and there are some instances of distortion/clipping. If you’re on headphones just be ready for inconsistent volumes.

Don’t forget, Kina’s album is in the final stages of prep, that means it’ll be releasing very soon!

Marie Digby Releases Live Performance Video of ‘Feel’

Marie Digby, who released her sophomore album last month, has posted up a live performance video of her single ‘Feel’.

Honestly, I prefer this type of instrumentation over the album version. It’s a stripped down arrangement and allows the melody and her vocals to shine more. Which version do you guys think is better?

PS, a review of the album is still coming… I promise =)

IBU Featured in Internet Radio Magazine

R&B group IBU was featured in Internet Radio Magazine a few weeks back. It seems that they are really ramping up the publicity blitz as their release date for their new album quickly approaches (Nov 10th).

Here’s a sample from the interview:

IRM: What are your ultimate aims as a  group?
IBU: We all have day jobs. Our ultimate aim, or should we say hope, is that one day we are able to do music full time.  Music is a business, so we hope our music would be successful. We hope our songs will endure time. When our performing days are over, we hope to create a studio where we can work with other aspiring artists.

Make sure to check out the rest over at IRM.
