WTF: Andy Suzuki – Free Hundred Pianos EP

What’s going on everyone? Time for another Weekly Thursday Freebie!

This time an artist by the name of Andy Suzuki reached out to me informing me about his free EP called Free Hundred Pianos.

This is how he described himself. ”I am an acoustic singer-songwriter (think susie suh/vienna teng/john mayer/gavin degraw) based in NYC. My dad is Japanese, and my mother is Jewish, so I am one of the few and proud Japanese Jews out there!”

I’d personally classify his music as a bit of early 2000′s stripped down coldplay meets Jason Mraz if he played the piano with a little bit of Tim Be Told in there as well. As you can probably guess, the keys Andy’s main weapon and he plays it well. It’s a great acoustic EP and definitely a-Tunes approved.

Find out what Mr. Suzuki had to say about the EP along with the download link after the jump!

Tiger JK, Tasha, Roscoe Umali Send Video Messages to Fans

For a long time now there has been a website for Drunken Tiger fans called drunkencamp.com. Updated started to get sporadic as time went on so I started checking on it less and less but I discovered today that they have relaunched as a blog!

The owner of the site has been able to follow DT & the Movement camp’s activities in Korea and has captured a video messages of Tiger JK, Tasha, Roscoe Umali, Rakaa, and producer TechBeatz while they were all in Korea recently.

The videos are admittedly a couple months old but I doubt many of you have seen this. It’s good to hear them showing love to their fans all around the world.

See What Quest Crew’s Been Up to in October

So I’ve come to the conclusion that the members of Quest Crew or not human. No my friends, they are advanced androids from the future. This is the only explanation for why they are able to do what they do. They dance to remind the human race how untalented and restricted we are by our human bodies.

Catch the cameos from Wong Fu & Kev Jumba in the video. There’s also a little bit of naked dancing… if you’re into that.

Dumbfoundead Battles Kid Twist in KOTD

Even though dumb’s been on the road he’s not one to turn down a challenge. Over in Toronto he battled Canadian battle vet Kid Twist in a heated match up of similar witty, laid back styles.

KT came out the victor after 3 rounds and an overtime but I thought it was  a pretty close one. There’s a lot of disagreement with the outcome but after watching it all the way through I can see why Twist took it. Line for line dumb had the best punches but Twist expertedly controlled the momentum of the battle and was able to induce a lot of home crowd response. Twist had a couple great flips, which shows the kid can think on his feet too. If I were there and were a judge, I’d probably would have still voted for dumb but it wouldn’t be an easy cut & dry decision.

Oh yea, dumb’s free at the end may have been sloppy but it was hilarious!
