Big Phony Interviewed by Steve Nguyen & ChannelAPA

You don’t come across too many interviews of Big Phony but Steve Nguyen is helping change that and recently sat down to sit with the artist and talk about a few subjects. Just a warning, the video volume is on the softer side so you may need to turn this one up to here it properly. Big Phony is a soft spoken guy but seems to be very earnest and honest in his answers. A great interview and a big recommendation for all you BP fans out there.

Also check out the extended interview with ChannelAPA!

Full description after the break.

Priscilla Ahn Sings ‘Find My Way Back Home’

The Might Fifty has released yet more footage of Priscilla Ahn‘s excellent performance event for KoreAm. She sings a sweet rendition of her song ‘Find My Way Back Home’, complete with ukulele. Her music is always so soothing to the soul. I’m still kicking myself for missing her event when she was in my area.

Bambu Interviewed by Dumbfoundead

Bambu invited dumbfoundead over to his video shoot for “Slow Down” to chat it up and talk about what’s in the pipeline in terms of projects and collaborations. It’s great to see a veteran of the scene connect with one of the leaders of the new school. Bambu says he has only a few more things in store before he bows out of the music scene so keep on the lookout for this dude, cause every move he makes is likely to be big. Looking forward to the new video and EP.

The big homie Bambu invited me to his music video shoot and i got a chance to chop it up with him about his upcoming projects. For those who aren’t familiar with him, he is 1/2 of the Native Guns and is an activist as much as he is an artist. I have seen this brother put in mad work for the community and have the upmost respect for him! Get em’ Bam!

Crown J Releases Behind the Scenes Footage for “I’m Good” MV

It looks like Crown J and company is about to start a big marketing push for his US single “I’m Good“, produced by Lee Hyun Do. They’ve just released the behind the scenes making of footage for the music video which likely means it will drop in the near future. It’s just a bunch of shots of them doing their things around town, shopping, rapping, sight seeing. Hopefully they’ll be doing something fresh with this video but I imagine they’ll play it safe.

Jam Session 2.0 Featured on CNN!

Remember the video for Jam Session 2.0? The track featured Dumbfoundead and also joined by Esna Yoon, Herbal T (who rips it in the latino languages), CAV3 on the MPC, Tio on the guitar, DJ Zo on the tables, Lukas on the keys and Chris Hong on the bass.

Anyway, as of today the video has picked up 90K+ views on youtube and has caught the attention of CNN. The video was featured on the special segment ‘Best of the Web’.

This is huge recognition, especially considering it’s on the national cable broadcast level. Huge ups to Dumbfoundead, Esna Yoon and company!
