Kato Releases ‘Love’ Single & Ringtone

It’s always great to hear Kato step up from behind the production gear and bless the mic. This time around he’s completely switched things up and though it’s different I think it’s a refreshing change of pace for the producer/MC. In honor of Valentine’s Day he is releasing the single ‘Love’ and I can promise you you’ve never heard anything like this from him before. Smooth synth sounds, chill beat, and love-oriented raps… Kato did this one right.

James Ha x Vandoza Release ‘Meant to Be’

Even though James Ha has made the move to Korea, he’s still got time to drop new music. He recorded this track back in the summer but just now released it after being pushed to do so by a family member. It’s a pretty good R&B track, and James sounds real smooth as always. Vandoza spits with a quick flow that switches up the track pretty nicely. I’m liking this one. You too? Great cause you can grab it for free here!

Jasmine Rafael x MoveMedia Productions Dance Reel

You may know Jasmine Rafael as the little sister to AJ Rafael, or as member of the youtube singing group BLYSS, but did you also know the girl can dance? She recently teamed up with Scott Yoshimoto of MoveMedia Productions to create her own dance reel. She also enlisted the help of Carissa Rae and fellow singer/dancer Lydia Paek as supporting dancers. Jasmine is clearly one very talented kid and it’s awesome to see her tackle the arts on so many different fronts.

Surrilla’s Simon Says Vol. 1 Now Available

Earlier this month Surrilla dropped his new mixtape, Simon Says Vol. 1, as a free download. You can grab it here. It’s got a whole rack of features on both sides of the boards including involvement from Dumbfoundead, DJ Zo, Lyricks, Wonju, Tokimonsta, TripmasterMonk, and a whole lot more.

At 19 tracks it’s definitely a lot of music to check out. I’ve only heard the single ‘Mynd Games‘ so far but based off that and the roster I’m definitely intrigued. Make sure to grab it!

New Single Released By D-League: “Plug It In”

D-League‘s got a new track out entitled ‘Plug It In’ featuring a singer named Oh Ginelle on the hook. It actually dropped a few weeks back but I’m just playing catch up. I’m really the production on the this one. It’s got some hard hitting percussion and a great variety of sounds. It’s a pretty hype track. Ginelle was cool though a generic. Each MC really spit with a lot of energy on the track. This is prob the hardest hitting song I’ve heard from the group so far.

Not bad, not bad at all.

J. Reyez Drops a New Single – “She’s Crazy”

Once again J. Reyez has linked up with his go to hook singer Chris Jackson and crafted a new single called “She’s Crazy”. You can grab it as a free download here.

This one was just aight for me. Nothing really stood out, its a harmless track but I feel like it was missing something. Chris sounds good though bored and J. Reyez does his thing but the song isn’t anything I haven’t heard before. I wouldn’t call this a bad song, just an average one. What do you all think?
