You know those feature interviews MTV Iggy was running in conjunction with Subway that featured FM, Quest Dance Crew, and Jennifer Chung among others? Akim Featured on Bamm Tronics Track – Superstar

Akim along with Vox Merger group mate Mighty Ro Young and Rexx Banner all contributed to the latest track by Bamm Tronics called Superstar. First things first, I love the horn samples on the track, it’s got some nice production. I’m liking this one, it keeps the classic sound of hip-hop in tact but still sounds great as a new song in 2010. You can both stream and download it via the widget below if you like what you hear.

Jane Lui x Jennifer Chung Cover ‘Girl From Ipanema’

Here’s another great collaboration featuring Jane Lui and Jennifer Chung (again!). They sing the classic 1960′s bossa nova hit ‘Girl From Ipanema‘. Jane Lui even busts out the Portuguese here. It’s a smooth, classy song with subtle singing but the two girls sound great together though I personally dont think the audio set-up did them justice. After the clip Jane Lui gives you a peak at her album progress and recording process.

Paul Dateh x Ken Belcher x Jennifer Chung Sing ‘Dusting Off’ & More

Jennifer Chung joins Paul Dateh and Ken Belcher to sing their original song ‘Dusting Off’ and produce another fine collaboration. The song has a fun pop/country twist to I enjoyed seeing Jennifer Chung tackle a slightly different genre though her contributions weren’t in the forefront as much here. Paul & Ken make a solid team as always. I wonder if there is going to be a studio version of the track.

They also covered the Alicia Keys song “Doesn’t Mean Anything”. Here JC gets her chance to shine though there are a couple rough spots. I really enjoyed Paul & Ken’s arrangement.

Lyrics for ‘Dusting Off’ after the break.

AJ Rafael x Victor Kim Cover Jesse Barrera

AJ Rafael and dancer/singer Victor Kim covered the Jesse Barrera hit ‘She Was Mine’ at a recent concert event. The fellas sound great and rock the song with a pair of ukuleles, doing an awesome fun rendition to the song that I’m sure Jesse appreciated. It’s really awesome to hear the crowd go nuts for the song and performers. We need more support like that everywhere!

Melissa Polinar x Chris Cendana x Stacy Dudero x David Choi x Jessica Sanchez x JRA x Thia Megia x AJ Rafael x Laura Song + 48 Other Artists Cover ‘We Are the World’

A ton (57 Total!) of Youtube artists all came together to sing a cover of the hugely talked about Michael Jackson song ‘We Are the World’. Mirroring the recent remake effort, these artists have all lent their talents to show their unification in heailng and rebuilding the earthquake ravaged nation of Haiti. It’s a pretty incredible effort considering the sheer number of talent participating, but seemingly well worth it. Some of our favorite artists participated including Melissa Polinar, Chris Cendana, Stacy Dudero, David Choi, Jessica Sanchez, JR Aquino, Thia Megia, AJ Rafael, and Laura Song.

Check the entire song description and artist list after the jump.

Another clip from the NEW RECORD. I just finished so it’ll be out in a few weeks! Release date soon!
One of my favorites, written with the talented and amazing AJ RAFAEL.

Clara Chung Releases Debut Single – “Fool’s Gold”

Clara Chung, a contestant in the upcoming Kollaboration event has just released her very first official single called “Fool’s Gold”. It’s a slow, almost haunting but beautifully arranged track, and she sounds great on it. I wouldn’t say it’s catchy but it’s still certainly a great listen. The instrumentation is great too.

-IT’S FINALLY HEEEERE!!! Presenting a live performance of Clara’s long-awaited original entitled “Fool’s Gold.” A studio-mixed recording (not the live performance recording) can be found below.

Charice Previews New Single w/ IYAZ – “Pyramid”

Singing child prodigy Charice Pempengco has released a teaser of her upcoming song “Pyramid” featuring IYAZ and due to be released Tuesday, February 23 (next week!)

It sound’s pretty current and well produced, and IYAZ is undoubtedly a popular Top 40 artist to work with so I think these are pretty wise moves on behalf of her and her management. The song sounds promising and keeps her image youthful but not overly so and without abandoning her core audience (let’s be frank, the Oprah watching mothers love her).

Support the kid on Tuesday!
