Ashley Robles Drops New Single – “Good Lookin”

DJ/Singer Ashley Robles has just dropped a new single entitled ‘Good Lookin’. It’s got a fun beat and has a feel good vibe to it. She sounds great on the track. I really like how her voice layers! I think she reminds me Amerie sometimes. It’s a an easy listen pop single and a great fit for the spring time. If you’re interested in hearing it you’ll have to head on over to her myspace. I think this is a stronger than her last release.
G-Soul Wins Apollo Amateur Night
Wow. I didn’t see this coming. Once upon a time JYP had big plans for the american market with a trio of artists named Min, J. Lim, and G-Soul. Well ever since the Wonder Girls came in and stole the show, those artists have been put on the back burner with little to no update on their status. Well it looks like the lone male of the bunch, G-Soul is starting to make some moves. He apparently competed and won last week’s Amateur Night at the famous Apollo theater with his rendition of the classic ‘A Song for You’.
In my honest opinion, he overdid some of the runs but the audience ate it up. The talented singer will move on to the next round. On a humorous note, look how tiny the dude is as he and another contestant give each other daps.
I’m glad to see the guy doing things, albeit on that quiet tip. Hopefully he’ll start putting himself out there more in the future.

Jimmy Boi x Smitty Release MV for “All the way, Turnt up”
Southern rapper Jimmy Boi has got a new MV out featuring Smitty for the track ‘All the Way, Turnt Up’. Video quality and production values are well done and they chose a hot beat for the song. I think Smitty spit nicer on this one but overall it’s a pretty decent track. The video itself is typical but polished. For all you fans of southern rap this one’s for you!
Shin-b Releases New Track – “Get Up And Go”

Shin-B’s got a new track our called ‘Get Up and Go’. It’s definitely a new direction for the artist as she ventures into electro-influenced hip-hop. It’s a bit surprising at first but it’s starting to grow on me. You can listen below and it’s available for free DL. I’m glad to see she’s experimenting with sounds. It’s a refreshing change of pace for sure!
Drunken Tiger Interview w/ KoME USA

JK aka Drunken Tiger has got a new interview up with KoME. It’s a little bit of a lengthy read but it’s a great way to find out how he got into music, his earliest influences, what he’s got planned for 2010, and what it’s like to be part of a “The Movement”. They discuss a whole range of topics and you all shouldnt miss this.
You can either check out the article in it’s entirety over at KoME USA or after the break.
Jenny Suk x AJ Rafael Cover ‘Need You Now’ by Lady Antebellum
Youtube power couple AJ Rafael & Jenny Suk have come together to sing the country song ‘Need You Now’ by Lady Antebellum. The two sound great together as the venture into country territory. Jenny can be a little inconsistent with her singing but she was on point in this video. The whole thing came off very heartfelt and beautiful. Props to both musicians,
Sam Ock Offers Cover of ‘Jesus Paid It All’ as Free DL
Sam Ock has decided to cover the hymn ‘Jesus Paid It All’ and turned it into an epic rock track. I really liked his arrangement and instrumentation choices for this one. I thought he made some great choices. The video features footage of him laying down all the parts. This guy is a one man band. If you’re liking this take on the classic hymn it’s available for free DL here.

David Choi & Wong Fu are teaming up again for a new music video for his single ‘That Girl’, released at the end of 2009. Shooting has been going on the past few days and Wong Fu has posted up a sneak peak at what’s been going down behind the scenes. I’m really forward to this release since I really enjoyed their last video together.
For more photos, head on over to Wong Fu for the original post!
Reign Era Drops “Rude Boy” Remix
It’s been a while since I’ve heard anything from Reign Era but I’ve been informed he’s got a new track out, a remix of Rihanna’s hit song “Rude Boy”. I actually have only heard Reign on hooks so it was cool to hear him spit a verse. Hopefully this break of silence will lead to more releases in the near future.
Worst Ever: Rocking Out to Ke$ha
So this video has been making it’s rounds on the internet… and I’ll be completely honest with you, it’s fascinating in a train wreck type of way. Apparently some kid named Brian thought it’d be fun to “rock out to this new jam” by Ke$ha (“Blah Blah Blah”). It looks like he had a good time, and I can only hope he did this in the spirit of self deprecating humor. Either way… this is not the way to become a bonafide youtube star.
You know what I take that back. The dude’s got 30K+ views and counting. Maybe there’s a method to the madness.
