Jin Reveals New Say Something Mixtape Cover; Previews Tracks

Jin announced earlier this year that he’s looking to drop a new mixtape entitled Say Something. He’s revealed the official album cover, shared a couple more deatils, and posted up the title track for your streaming pleasure on both Myspace and Youtube. You can hear the title single below. From what we’ve heard so far, I feel like Jin’s grown as a writer but lost a little bit of the edge and tenacity he had from his younger years, though I’ll leave my final thoughts until after the mixtape drops in full “soon”.

What is it: 8 new English tracks.

Where you can download it: Here.

When you can download it: Soon.

In the meantime.. check out the title track “Say Something” on my Myspace (does anyone still use MS??) page http://myspace.com/therealjin.

Sam Hart Interview w/ FutureTunez

FutureTunez, a website associated with the web radio station TuneVibez, recently posted up a quick interview session they had with Sam Hart. Interestingly enough, the interviewer knew Sam from years back where they met via World of Warcraft. In an interesting twist of fate, Sam earned a new fan and his career has since blossomed, especially after the release of the famous ‘Mario Kart Love Song’. You can read the full article over at FT, or catch just the Q&A after the break!

David Choi & Mia Kim Interview w/ Arirang TV-1

Recently Southern Californian based Korean American artists David Choi and Mia Kim had interview segments with the Korean TV Network Arirang. The narrator has a bit of an odd speaking style but its an otherwise pretty interesting watch. The talk a little about their life and how they’ve gotten to where they are today along with their very different career paths. Unfortunately the segment on Mia was cut short by the uploader of the video.

As far as retailers
Your guess is as good as mine–google? Depending on where you are from in the world, it’s better to find a distributor in your own country.

J. Reyez Interview on Local Canadian TV

J. Reyez had the opportunity to be interviewed on a local Toronto TV channel in Canada and they got to discuss a number of things from how he got started and hooked up with Tragic Glory Clothing, his Youtube videos, future songs, tours, videos, etc. The interview actually kind of drags a bit, the hosts are a little overbearing while J and his manager are a little under-enthused so it’s kind of an interesting mix. Either way, this should be a treat for all you J. Reyez fans. The video is in two parts at roughly 7 mins a piece.

Shin-B Releases Music Sampler

Have you been looking to hear some new material from female MC Shin-B? Well she dropped a new sampler today on youtube where you can hear snippets of several tracks. The songs are ‘Stronger’, ‘The Cause’, ‘Homecoming’, and  ’Race Card’. Each song has a different flavor and should give a fair indication of what’s to come. Though I have to admit I wasn’t feeling the tracks quite as much as her single ‘Get Up and Go‘.

Lyrics after the break.

Clara Chung x Jason Yang Cover B.o.B.’s “Nothin On You” and “Airplanes”

Clara Chung reunites with fellow 2010 Kollaboration contestant Jason Yang for a B.o.B. mashup cover where they mix together his hit song ‘Nothin on You’ ft Bruno Mars and ‘Airplanes’ ft Hayley Williams. Each artists really brings out their musicality for this one, with full full original arrangement and instrumentation. It definitely has a different feel from the pop-rap originals but it’s got it’s own unique charm to it. Stay tune for the random, crazy bloopers at the end!
