Tim Be Told Releases MV for ‘Analyze’

Tim Be Told has dropped the official music video for their single ‘Analyze’ from their EP From the Inside. This is one of my favorite songs of theirs and I’m glad they were finally able to release the video. It’s a pretty neat concept for the video and everything looks real sharp. It would have been nice to see the band in various locales too and not just in the white room but I understand there are constraints to deal with. Sometimes the message is bigger than the art =).

Wonder Girls Reveal New Single, Cover Art, and EP

It’s been a LONG time since the Wonder Girls and JYPE have taken pre-orders for their debut full-length American album… and the sad news looks like it’s been pushed back again. Now the estimated release date is Fall 2010… a full year since the initial announcement. But in an e-mail, JYPE has revealed some of their cards and is planning to launch a new single and EP in the mean time. The new song is titled ’2 Different Tears’ and will be included on an 11 track EP filled with their past singles and remixes. Sure, it’s not a proper album but at least it’s something to appease the fans. The best part? If you ordered the album then you will get this EP free! You can read more details over at AKP.

This is an official notice to apologize and thank you for your patience in
regards to the WG presale albums that were being sold on
wondercdpresale.com.  Due to various complications and scheduling conflicts,
our Wonder Girls presale full album had to be postponed so we were unable to
send it to you in a timely manner.  However, for all of you who had
preordered the CD on wondercdpresale.com, please stay tuned — we will be
sending you our newest Wonder Girls CD very soon that will be released in
May 15th– free of charge. This EP will be delivered to you end of May or
early June. Our full album, which you purchased, will be delivered to you
when it is released approximately Fall 2010.

Mani really knows how to drop an album in style, and it’s as if one release party for ‘Open Bars’ featuring Lyricks, JL, C-Note, Sickboi, Capital P, ill Bill, Decipher and Johnnyphlo wasn’t enough… nope he has to go to the left coast and do it all over again; this time featuring JL and Lyricks again, but also Dumb, Shin-B. DJ Zo and Bboy Don. Dang.

If you’re ANYWHERE near Artesia, Ca on May 15th, don’t miss this show.

BP & Odds Release Free EP – Vacancy

As they promised they would, BP & Odds dropped their new free EP Vacancy, albeit just after we had called it a night. News never sleeps. I haven’t had the opportunity to peep it yet but I’m guessing it’ll be another strong release from the “boom bap novelists”. You can grab the EP in it’s entirety HERE.

The EP is the boom bap novelists’ ode to Jazz music. The soundscape summons BP’s jazz stacks while each song is aptly titled after timeless jazz albums. VACANCY gives rise to the idea of being uninhibited while opening doors to new listeners.

Roscoe Umali Featured on Remix of Stacee Adamz’s “Slow Down”

It’s been a while since we’ve heard an official single from Mr. Umali but he definitely hasn’t lost his work ethic. His latest drop is a feature on a remix to a track by fellow California MC Stacee Adamz called ‘Slow Down’. It’s a simple two verse with a hook song but I’m sure you mixtape heads will love this one. It only makes me want to hear a proper song from Roscoe though. You can DL the song HERE.

454 Life Ent Releases MV for “I Don’t See Nothing Wrong” ft Bobby Valentino

As indicated by the teaser they dropped a couple weeks back, Drew & Thai of 454 enlisted crooner Bobby Valentino for this commercial R&B release. They take a step back from their usual harder music and decided to tone it down a bit. As seems to be the trend with these guys, the video is well made but nothing out of the ordinary, (though Lisa Kim Flemming looks great). You’ve seen the same thing a hundred times. The song itself is catchy though, and overall it’s a fun light song, perfect for the upcoming summer season.

David Choi Reveals Album Cover & Preview on Amazon

David’s sophomore effort By My Side, featuring the singles ‘Better You‘, ‘That Girl‘ and more is ready to drop May 18th, in just two week’s time. Well Amazon has the album page up and you can check out the album cover and preview all the tracks, 12 in total. It sounds like he’s continuing with the slow to mid-tempo tracks. We’ll let you know how it is!
