Dawen & afterschoolspecial have joined forces for a special youtube collab where they mash up B.o.B.’s “Nothin’ On You” and Travie McCoy’s “Billionaire”, both featuring Bruno Mars. I think the latter was a lot better executed than the formal… it just fit both singer’s styles better. The “Nothin On You” parts were a bit sloppy but “Billionaire” had a much more laid back vibe that they could adapt to. It was cool to see these artists go a little out of their box but I think they could have found a better match for who they are as artists.

Blue Scholars Remix Bambu’s “Slow Down”
“Slow Down” was one of my favorite tracks from Bambu’s …Paper Cuts… EP, featuring Geo aka Prometheus Brown from the Blue Scholars. All that was missing from the mix (music pun… see what I did there) was Sabzi behind the production to make the collab official. Well they’ve gone ahead and solved that problem with the release of this remix. It’s got a completely different different feel from the original, but for that reason I think it’s warranted at least a listen. Besides, it’s free so why the heck not?!
Chloe Wang Interviews w/ MTV Iggy
Chinese American CPOP singer by way of Chicago got to sit down with MTV Iggy for a quick interview on her transition to the CPOP market and what a day is like in her shoes. If you didnt know, Chloe grew up in the states but in the past couple years made a cross over into the Chinese market… picking up her Father’s language along the way. She’s making moves over there but it’s awesome to see/hear how she’s doing.
David Choi x WongFu Release Official Teaser for ‘That Girl’ MV
We’ve showed you the behind the scenes photo’s from the shoot, but now you get to see some video footage of the final product as Wong Fu & David Choi reveal the teaser to the MV for ‘That Girl’. The video is set to drop May 18th, the same day as David’s sophomore album By My Side. All indications point to this being a beautifully shot MV and one any WongFu or David Choi fan can appreciate. Stay a-Tuned cause we’ll post it when it’s up!
FM Make a Cameo in MV for Natalia Kills’ – “Love, Kills xx”
The Far East Movement get their acting gig on and have a cameo in the latest episode of the MV mini-series for ‘Love, Kills xx’ for their label mate Natalia Kills. It’s a tense, grimy, action-packed view, and if you haven’t seen the first two episodes you may be a bit lost. Either way it’s cool to see the fellas in full swing over at Cherrytree. These guys aren’t slowing down anytime soon.
Surrilla Drops the ‘Mynd Games’ Remix ft Dumb & Lyricks
LA underground MC Surrilla released the single ‘Mynd Games’ from his Simon Says Vol. 1 mixtape in the beginning of the year featuring Dumbfoundead. Well they’ve added VA representative Lyricks to the mix and dropped it as a remix for free DL today. Lyricks kills his verse, but at this point would you expect any less? I just wished they upped his volume.

Bruno Mars Releases New EP Today – It’s Better You Don’t Understand
The day has come and Bruno Mars’ EP It’s Better If You Don’t Understand has officially dropped! It’s only a four song EP and besides the lead single I haven’t heard the other tracks yet but I’ve been told it’s an incredible release. Apparently it showcases a lot of variety despite the short list of tracks. This guy is about to blow up, so make sure you support the movement!
