With the June 29th release date for Meesh’s Adrenaline album quickly approaching, we’ve sure seen a lot of news items about her. The latest is the release of her album cover. There are some clear GaGa influences with the style and overall I don’t think this is the type of cover that will stand the test of time but I will say I’ve seen much worse. Anyway, don’t judge an… uh, album… by it’s cover. The girl is very talented and I’m still looking forward to hearing the songs!
DFD and Wax are back it, working on a music video for the track “Walking in the Rain”, which I believe is off their Clockwise album. Based on the pics they released, there’s going to be some heavy green screenery in the video, making me very curious on what they have in store for us. DFD is currently in Korea on tour but I imagine when he gets back, we have a lot of great promotion to look forward to!

Inspire Events continue to trickle out performance clips from some of their recent events, including Mani’s west coast album release party for Open Bars. In the following two clips, Mani, Lyricks, and JL all spit with a passion on some deep content. It’s always good to know songs can still have some meaningful content these days. Lyricks and Mani deliver the remix to “Scarred” and in the next clip JL joins them for a mash up of “I Pray” and “Light the Dark”. Personally I was really feeling the latter. Tiger JK and Roscoe Umali have been collabing for a decade now, and their friendship/working relationship show no signs of slowing down. Roscoe tweeted today about the shooting of an MV with Ol Dirty Tiger himself along with the first lady of Korean Hip-Hop Tasha.

Speaking of which, hopefully we’ll have some exciting news for you soon on that front but that’s a completely different story =P.
Check out this new collab track by Illmillion, Moc Five, City Boy called “Deuces”. These guys are part of a younger wave of MC’s doing their thing and have formed a group of sorts that they call Illmocity. Overall I’m lukewarm to the track. It’s well produced, decently rapped, but overall a bit dull and a lot of hit or miss punches. Illmillion inject’s a little bit of stylistic flair but I can’t say this track is a favorite of mine.
