Kero One Releases Footage from MV Shoot for “On Bended Knee” ft Sam Ock

Kero may have just dropped an album, but the work does’t stop there. He recently wrapped up the video shoot for the single “On Bended Knee” featuring Sam Ock and off the aforementioned LP. Here is some footage he shared from the shoot. It looks like there’s gonna be some story exposition going on although it doesn’t appear Sam was able to make it out for the video. Looking forward to the final release!

Sam Hart Releases New Original – “Where We Are”

Youtube singer Sam Hart has released a new original song entitled “Where We Are”. He continues the melancholy, slow, moody trend with this song, which still comes off a bit surprising from the man that brought us the “Mario Kart Love Song”, but perhaps that’s the point… to differentiate from that. Even still, I’m not too crazy about this one.

This is a song that I wrote. It’s about insecurity.

I wrote this as a sort of sequel to another song of mine – “Away is a Long Way”

Jay Park Leaves Message for the Fans About Moving On

With the 2PM incident now almost a year behind us (not counting the rehash back in the winter), Jay Park has decided to make a formal statement on the issue, breaking the silence he’s kept for quite some time now. I admire the kid’s drive and attitude at this point. He doesn’t reveal any additional details but he’s right… it’s in the past. Let’s all move on and let it be about the music again.

From his website:

Before I move on to a new chapter in my life, I want to just say some things and put my past to rest.

First off, I’d like to apologize to all the fans and to 2pm for putting you guys through so much emotionally and mentally since last September. I’m sorry it had to come to a situation where we couldn’t be together and I want everyone to know that I have nothing but love and support towards 2pm. Whether you like them or not they are good kids who work hard and I don’t think anyone should take anything away from them. I also wish the fans wouldn’t fight and everyone can just get along and move on. Life is too short to be angry, and there are too many negative things in the world happening and to add to all that negativity is something I don’t want.

I understand that this might not be the answer to what some of you are looking for but to touch the subject again will mean hurting people that I do care about, be it fans, friends, ex colleagues, loved ones and I just don’t think its fair to activate another roller coaster ride just when everyone is starting their healing process and moving on. As long as I am in the clear with God, my family and my fans, it is sufficient for me.

Also I would like to add that I was once young and naive and said some things that got blown out of context but would like to add that I am proud to be Korean, I love Korea, my parents are Korean, and where ever I go, whatever I do, I will try to the best of my ability to represent Korea well. Last but not least I would like to thank my fans, you guys are the reason I am doing this now, every opportunity from now on that gets presented to me is all thanks to you guys and I’m trying to make you guys proud and I love you guys!

Thank you so much and I just hope everything from now on can be positive and that I can influence peoples’ lives in a positive way.

I’m heading for Korea in a couple of hours and hope to see you all!
Love and Peace,
Jay

You can read the Korean text after the break.

Arowana Films Release Video Project Based on FM’s “F*ck the Robots”

Check out this thought provoking video project by Arowana Films, set to the music of the Far East Movement’s “F*ck the Robots” from their 2007 Folk Music album. It’s truly crazy what goes on in this world sometimes. It’s been a while since we’ve heard some social commentary in FM’s music and though I love their new singles, I wouldn’t mine if they brought some of their deep stuff back too.

Off the album Folk Music by the Far East Movement, Arowana FILMS presents the long awaited F-CK the ROBOTS.

This project was conceived over 3 years ago as an experimental artistic collision of media and music. We wanted to share these “familiar” visuals in a context that is all too common with our mind’s eye.

We asked ourselves, why are these images so familiar to us? Is this he world that we choose to see? or is the world that we live in?

Ultimately do we really have this choice?

Priscilla Ahn Ties the Knot!

Photo not from actual event.

Every once in a while we come across big news about the musicians we follow that reach past the normal musical updates. We actually heard about this late last week but decided to wait for Priscilla to make a more formal announcement/details. But it’s true, Priscilla Ahn has tied the knot and is now married to actor Michael Weston, or so we think! We at a-Tunes want to extend a HUGE congratulations to the newly weds! Priscilla Weston? Sounds sophisticated =)

You can read all the details over at Priscilla’s blog. It’s an awesome story!

JVoQalZ x Pmac x Adrian Per x Dexter Lopez x Illa x Jayne Rio Release “Summer Day in the Bay” MV

A couple days back, the official MV was dropped for the huge bay area collab appropriately titled “Summer Day in the Bay”. The song features a whole grip of artists: JVoQalZ, Pmac, Adrian Per, Dexter Lopez, Illa, and Jayne Rio. The video matches the vibe of the song perfectly and makes for a great summer jam. Not everyone had amazing parts but its all feel good music so its not much of a concern this time. The video quality is crisp and music is chill … can’t ask for much more! I just wish there was more Jayne Rio in the song.

Jay Park Collabs w/ B.o.B. for Korean Release of “Nothin On You”

Well how bout that!? Jay Park gets millions of hits for his Youtube cover of B.o.B. x Bruno Mars’ hit single “Nothin’ On You”, and the label is smart enough to capitalize on the free marketing and enlist Jay for the official Korean release of the song. Jay may not be able to hold a candle to Bruno Mars but from the previews it sounds like he can handle the hook of this song just fine. It is now available at Korean digital distributors, and perhaps else where worldwide in the near future. Congrats to Mr. Park for the feature!
