JL x Smaals x Manifest Release – Bloodsport

Why dont you close your tuesday evening with a Hip-Hop banger? Two of the Beautiful Cycle crew, JL & Mani linking up with frequent collaborator Smaals for a new track they called “Bloodsport”. I need to watch that movie again. Anyway, for the hooks, intros, outros.. it’s just three straight raw verses. Only thing I have to ask is, can we get the mp3 to DL?

Heather Park Shares Harlem Performance Footage

Ever wonder what Heather Park sounds like live? You should check out the following clips taken from her recent show at the Shrine in Harlem. She’s posted up four songs, two from her upcoming album Stay and two from her previous release Dream in Pictures. The best part aside from the great live R&B vocals is that you get to hear a little context behind each song, making the viewing that much richer. She sings “Trust You”, “Endless Possibilities”, “3 Meals”, and “I Forgive You”. The girl may be tiny but she sure can sing with some soul.

Singer/Songwriter (and apparently actress/photographer as well) Mia Kim has got a new interview out with Chaotic Content, a music licensing & cataloging group. You can check it out in full after the break or make the jump to CC.

454 Releases Debut Album – As Real As It Gets

The indie label 454 Life Entertainment has been busy, very busy, in 2010 and the day has finally come where they’ve dropped their first compilation album – As Real As It Gets. After countless single leaks, MVs, parties and promotions you can now pick up this West Coast collective’s album complete with 19 tracks. It’s available via their website or digital download from iTunes or AmazonMP3.

Dante Fawkes Releases the “I’m Beamin” Remix

Dante Fawkes has decided to put his own spin to Lupe Fiasco’s single “I’m Beamin“. Lupe is generally one of my favorites so its hard to try and remix one of his tracks but Dante does a pretty decent job. In fact only thing I wasn’t really feeling was his hook, which lacked polish, but the verses were on point. Plus it does’t hurt he chose a sick beat to jack too. Free for DL.

KPOP Star Taeyang Goes International with the English MV for “I’ll Be There”

Taeyang, whose material is no stranger to many Asian-American artists in the states, seems to have international cross-over status in his sights and has released a new track in both Korean & English entitled “I’ll Be There” off his Solar International Album. You can see the official MV below, complete with “Thriller”-esque visuals and dance. What do you guys think? I’m sure the KPOP fans will love it but what about everyone else?

Lil Crazed x Krystle Cruz Release the MV for “By Your Side”

Back in May Lil Crazed dropped his Chapter 2: Famine mixtape, including the track “By Your Side” featuring Krystle Cruz. It’s one of the stronger tracks on the album and a great pop/R&B jam. Today they released the official MV for the song. It’s nowhere near as polished as the song itself but it does the job. No outfit changes, few locations, no effects… you can tell they did what they could and it didn’t turn out too bad, all things considered.

This song features Krystle Cruz, a very talented singer. The hook was written by Joanlee and produced by Flash Beats. The song is featured on my Chapter 2: Famine mixtape. The video was shot at Long Beach with cameos by Michelle Martinez, R. Productions, Joanlee and a few others. Also keep in mind, this was a NO budget music video. Enjoy!

FM Releases the Video Remix for “Like a G6″

It’s been a little over two months since FM dropped their official MV for “Like a G6″ but they’ve put up a new remix of both the track and the video by Disco Fries & Video DJ Crush. Is it any better than the original? Not really… though for those of you who like the original and wouldn’t mind hearing/seeing a slighly different spin on it, I’m sure you’ll dig it.

Maybe I’m just getting tired of the promotions of a track that dropped in November of last year.

Paul Dateh Presents Violince Ep. 2 Featuring Jason Yang

The contemporary Youtube Violin world can’t be too large, which is why in my mind I always wondered what a showdown between Paul Dateh and Jason Yang would look like. Well, in a way I got to find out. Continuing his “Violince” series, Paul brings on Jason Yang for a little slapstick action, all set to the tunes of their stringed instruments. It’s silly and fun but I’d still love to see them thrown down musically.

Note: Scott Yoshimoto is behind the cam on this one.
