Joseph Vincent x Jason Chen Remix Nelly’s “Just a Dream”

This one was somewhat unexpected for me but I gotta admit it turned out pretty decent. Joseph Vincent teams up with Jason Chen for a remix of Nelly’s recent radio hit “Just a Dream”. What’s most surprising is they “put down the guitar” this time. They definitely have pop friendly voices and though it did come off a bit boy-bandish I still enjoyed this one. They’ve even put it up for sale on iTunes so if you’re digging the track, go support em!

This was one of the more intense, fun, creative projects I’ve done for music. It took us about 12 hours to write original verses/pre-chorus , record track, film, and edit the entire thing, and it was all sooo worth it:) I enjoyed it so much so I hope ya’ll do too!! ENJOY

Surrilla Drops New Single – “The Weatherman”

LA’s Surrilla returns with a new single called “The Weatherman”. He’s still got that unorthodox delivery but he’s chosen a sick beat to spit over making him more accessible than I’ve ever heard him. Unfortunately it’s not currently available for DL so you can only stream it via bandcamp but I think most of you will dig this one. A pretty good track.

Mike-Dash-E Releases “Ripped”

Mike-Dash-E continues to leak singles from his upcoming album Dash With Me. The latest drop is a song called “Ripped”. I this is the type of track that people are gonna really like or be indifferent about. I fall in the latter category as nothing really stood out to me in any given category. It’s a free DL so check it out and see how you feel about it. Get it here.

The Blue Scholars Release New Single – “Lumière”

The Blue Scholars never let their fans go too long without some new music, and thankfully their releases also rarely disappoint. For this track they flipped a sample from the indie rock group The xx and put together an awesome song called “Lumière”. It’s crazy how consistent these guys are with the quality of their music, even the ones they give out for free due to clearance issues. Grab this one folks, I don’t think you’ll be let down. Also, check out their random but interesting contextual read behind the song over at their website.

You can DL the song here for free.

Paul Dateh & Ken Belcher Star in Violince Episode 4

The Violince series continues! What misadventures will Paul Dateh get into next? Watch as he squares off with his frequent musical partner Ken Belcher. Paul always seems to get involved in some kind of mischief and rarely walks away the victor. This one’s no different. Nothing like getting hit in the face with a vegetable to put you back in your place. See the behind the scenes action here.

Clara Chung x Sam Ock Collab on “Little Light”

Last year’s ISA Breakout performer (Clara) has teamed up with one of this years (Sam) for a new original they call “Little Light”. Sam brings back the crooner voice and it blends in perfectly with Clara’s. This is a great collab! The song is available for download, allowing you to name your price. A donation is encouraged (all proceeds go to the non-profit organization Invisible Children) but the song is available for free as well. This one is definitely recommended.

Bambu x Fatgums Drop the MV for “Peddlin’ Music”

Stop motion animation is an under appreciated art form but Bambu & Fatgums new MV are here to represent. They don’t actually appear in the video which is instead filled with a ton of nostalgic memorabilia. The song is “Peddlin’ Music”, from their …A Peaceful Riot… EP released last year. Man I wish I had that Soundwave figure, it brings me back haha.
