Nump Trump Remixes “Just the Way You Are” [Free DL]

454′s very own Nump Trump has jumped on the bandwagon and adds his own cover/remix to the list of “Just the Way You Are” remakes. The Bruno Mars song seems to be only getting more popular among listeners and musicians alike. Nump’s rendition is pop friendly and enjoyable but not particularly note worthy. The video features NT taking pictures of a gorgeous model… which actually seems awkward if you think about how long the shoot continues on for. Who does that in their spare time with their girl? Anyway, it’s all an excuse for eye candy =P.

Free DL here.

Note: With D-Pryde also reported to be putting together a remix, I’m thinking a new Showdown featuring all the rap remakes of this song  is in order soon.

MC Misfit Releases the MV for “A Million Miles Away”

Over a month ago we shared a new track by MC Misfit entitled “A Million Miles Away“. It quickly became one of my favorite recent drops by an artist we cover and I was pleasantly surprised to find that he released an official music video for the song today as well. I really liked this MV too. It may have a lot of your typical scenes from a romance centered video but it’s well done and refreshing for a Hip-Hop video. It’s awesome to see the video matches the quality of the track.

Charice Shares Interview About Her Role on Glee

Many of you Gleeks likely saw last night’s premiere of the hit TV show Glee. You probably noticed the episode featured a little singer known as Charice. I have yet to see it but it’s on my to do list for this weekend. But I did come across this clip that she shared where she discusses her experiences of being on the show. It’s funny to see how she’s still a fan girl deep inside despite her own rising super stardom.

Listen to Sam Ock’s “Me vs Me” [FREE DL]

Mr. Ock really has an ear for putting together some breezy tracks. Case in point – his new original entitled “Me vs Me”. You can see how it all came together as he’s video captured every step of the recording process. My favorite part is the swelling climax at the end. It’s a free DL available here. Another great release from Sam.

Just ‘Cause: Watch “My Own Show” Ep. 2 Featuring… Everyone

When is the last time you saw Scott Yoshimoto, Casey Nishizu, Dan aka Dan, Paul Dateh, Cathy Nguyen, Kevin Lien, CP, Alexa Yoshimoto, Jasmine Rafael, and other musicians and entertainers all in one production? The answer is likely never. MoveMedia productions has an online musical series called “My Own Show”, and the second episode just dropped featuring everyone mentioned above. It was a lot of fun to watch so check it out below! (If you want to start from the beg, watch Episode 1 here.)

More info after the break.

Reign Era Releases MV for “Cash Flow” ft Spade

It’s been quite some time since I’ve heard anything from Reign Era, or anyone from the Illuminaire camp for that matter. But RE’s back with a new music video for a song called “Cash Flow” featuring Spade. The only negative things I have to say boils down to my preference for topics other than money raps. I find the subject uninteresting. The video matches the song well, for better or worse depending on your opinion of the style. However, on a technical level everything is on point. The visual quality is crazy sharp, the beat to the track is hot, and the mc’s spit with determination. It just makes me wish they put together some type of creative narrative with a video story to match; but hey that’s just me.

SueJin x Dawen x Furis x Esna Yoon x FlowEthics to Perform at Bier Müsik on 9/24

If you’re in the LA area this Friday, you should go out to the Biergarten to catch a show with an awesome line up. Suejin, Dawen, Furis, Esna, and Flow Ethics will all be there, providing you a great mix of genres and styles. Plus, I’m going to venture out and guess there will be some good beer there too. You can find out more information by visiting the venue’s facebook and twitter. I’m not sure if there are any age restrictions or not.

Clara Chung Interviews w/ AAM

Clara Chung was recently featured as one of Angry Asian Man’s angry reader of the week. These features are typically on the shorter side and this one is no different so you have no excuse for not checking it out =P. On a related note, I love Clara’s sense of humor. Read the short article in full after the break!

Dan aka Dan & Kevin Lien Remix Lupe’s “Fighters” for Turtlist Media

You should check out this dope cover/remix of Lupe Fiasco’s “Fighters” featuring afterschoolspecial’s Dan aka Dan and singer Kevin Lien. I’m realy digging this acoustic rendition, it totally flips the vibe of the track. Dan & Kevin make a pretty decent team, I hope they link up for some official original studio material too.

[update] You can also check out their rework of afterschoolspecial’s “Not One for Words”[/update]

Kina Grannis Interviews w/ PopEater

Kina Grannis continues to gain fans and seems to perpetually be on the cusp of blowing up into America’s mainstream conciousness. PopEater seems to agree and has chosen to do a feature interview with her. Of particular note they discuss the importance of her family, her experience with Lilith Fair and her advice to aspiring artists. You can read it in full after the break or by heading over to PopEater.
