Sean Rhee Releases “Move On” [Free DL]

Korean American rapper Sean Rhee has a new single out entitled “Move On”. You may have recently heard him on the mega dumbfoundead x every korean MC ever collab – “Respect 16′s” but he’s doin the solo thing here. Rhee chose a great beat and lays down a pretty nice track. I was feeling it but unfortunately the song is 99% in Korean so many of you may not get this one. Regardless, it’s a free DL if you like what you hear. Check it out via the widget below.

DUKE Returns with “Been Awhile”
The title “Been Awhile” is fairly appropriate as it’s been months since we last heard an original solo track from Schoolboy DUKE. This song continues to prove that DUKE’s got a good ear for Hip-pop, with a knack for crafting catchy tracks. Great beat selection too but it’s too it’s a pity he’s got a version that still has the tags in it. Sorry, no DL link at the moment, hopefully he’ll post it up soon.

SummerBreeze Releases the “What If” MV
After first revealing some teaser shots over 3 months ago, SummerBreeze has finally released the music video for his heartfelt single “What If”. The production values are pretty incredible, and definitely an awesome way to promote the single. This is probably my favorite track from his album released last year and I’m glad he chose to re-work it as a promotional single. The music video is almost more like a short film and I’m loving the fact they explored a storyline, even if it’s not the most original one ever. They chose some great locations too. Great job all the way around. Go cop the single on iTunes if you haven’t already! Look for a special cameo by Michelle Martinez.
Showdown: Jason Yang vs Clara Chung vs Erin Kim x GOWE
The “Rocketeer” covers just won’t stop! Today Clara Chung dropped her own rendition on the bubbling follow-up single to “Like a G6″ from the Far East Movement’s major label debut and it’s inspired another Showdown post. We’ve already shared several covers already but we’ve picked three new ones to compare and have you vote for your favorite.
Jason Yang works his instrumental mojo to craft a non-vocal version of the song. Clara brings her trademark charm to the song & arrangement. Lastly, Seattle Kollaboration 2010 competitors and now collaborators Erin Kim & GOWE (along with Travis Graham) have teamed up for their own rendition a little more faithful to the original. So which version were you liking more?

Samuel Joseph Kim Releases the Resolution Part One EP
Indie Electronic/Rock artist Samuel Joseph Kim is making a return to the music scene with a new EP entitled Resolution Part One. This release is heavy on the instrumentation and lighter on the lyrics. It’s meant to be a piece of work that is listened to more so than sung along with. If you’re looking for something a little different than what you’re accustomed to then I def recommend you check this release out. It’s available for purchase as a digital download via Bandcamp.
Traphik x Crazed x JRA x Lydia Paek x Michelle Martinez x J Reyez & More to Tour in Australia
They’re going international! Many of our youtube stars have built up fan bases all over the world and now promoters are bringing some of the biggest Youtube talent to Australia. Traphik, Lil Crazed, JRA, Lydia Paek, Michelle Martinez, J Reyez, Kev Jumba and a whole rack of local Aussie talent will be hitting up Melbourne & Adelaide (I have no clue where those places are relative to one another). But if you’re a reader from down under and nearby any of those two cities, don’t miss out!
You can read up more on the event here. The facebook page for the Melbourne show is here, and the Adelaide show here.
JVoqalz x Illa x MrRagland Drop “Club L.O.V.E.”
Here’s a new track from bay area artist JVoqalz where he brings in some feature rap vocals from Illa & MrRagland. I’m feeling this joint a lot and the shaky vocals that have plagued some of JV’s other songs seemed to be ironed out here. The song is catchy is a fairly decent pop track if you ask me. Look for the MV to drop soon too!
JRA Shares “Try This”
With all the new fans JRA has been accumulating since his song “By Chance (You & I)” was used in the latest Wong Fu short A.S.S., he isn’t the type to make sure new and old followers alike would be left in want. Today he’s shared a new (well sorta new, it was written last year) song entitled “Try This”. This one was a little on the dull side for me but it could be the lack of additional instrumentation.

Megan Lee Covers Nick Jonas’ “Introducing Me”
Young singer Megan Lee posted up her latest You Tube cover of the infamous track, “Introducing Me” by Nick Jonas, and the cover is both light-hearted and musically cute to watch. The song lyrics are a bit quirky and a bit random but Megan’s vocals and smart editing truly make this video. Megan’s also celebrating the end of the year by throwing a contest with some very cute giveways. Check the description box under her video clip for details.
