A.M. Kidd Interviews w/ IAAM

I recently came across A.M. Kidd after he was strongly recommended by one of you readers (we read/listen to your comments!) and have started to check out his material. But for the rest of you, old and new fans alike, you can learn a little more about him simply by checking out this recent interval he did with IAAM, a teen focused site. Head on over to their site or catch it in full after the jump.

AJ Rafael Shares a New Original – “Without You”

Singer/songwriter/Youtube star AJ Rafael hasn’t shared much new material lately, but that changes today with his new song “Without You”. In this video, it’s a piano ballad with a pretty good arrangement and melody. I think this song has potential once it’s laid down in a studio. There’s something about AJ’s voice that conveys emotion well, helping to portray these slow songs effectively. Interestingly enough, this is actually something he’s trying to shop to fellow Youtube sensations Ahmir and their album. We’ll see if it makes the cut!

Kero One Shares Teaser of Upcoming “Stay on the Grind” MV

Bay area MC Kero One is getting ready to drop a new MV for his song “Stay on the Grind” featuring Hip-Hop veteran Ohmega Watts. The song is off his previous album Early Believers. I didn’t know K. One could skateboard! Anyway the video is set to drop soon but you can get a behind the scenes glimpse of what’s to come from the multi-talented artist.

Here’s a little teaser of what’s to come in my latest music video Stay on the Grind feat. Ohmega watts off my last album Early Believers.  Backtracking a bit, Ohmega had introduced me to director James Cheeks, who had been directing his documentary “On the Grind” .  His documentary documented the long beach skate scene in the aftermath of a shooting that killed Black Mike, a local professional skateboarder.  It seemed very appropriate to collaborate with James on this video.  Check it out…

Bruno Mars Drops a “Grenade” (MV)

Singer/hit maker Bruno Mars has released a brand new video off his Elektra debut Doo-wops & Hooligans. The song is “Grenade” and is one of my favorites off the album. I’m digging the imagery and metaphors in this video, as it really drives the point home. It’s completely different from his last couple MV’s, that’s for sure. The album is only 5 bucks for a limited time off AmazonMP3, plus they are offering a $3 credit, bringing the price down to 2 bucks at the moment. The album isn’t perfect but its well worth more than 2 dollars.

Jason Min Drops Self Titled EP

Jason Min, former lead of the band Miss Vintage, has dropped his self-titled EP, and from what I’ve been hearing, a lot of people have been giving it a lot of critical praise. It’s a 5 song release that was mixed and mastered by another artist, Koo Chung. Jinny Kim also has guest vocals on the EP. If you’re the kind of person who likes to try before you buy (nothing wrong with that) you can check out a couple tracks via the widget below.
