Krystle Cruz Releases the “Eternity” MV

Back in July Krystle Cruz dropped her debut album Underneath Me. The lead single was a song called “Eternity” for which she’s just released the music video for to end cap a strong year for the young pop singer. The song is definitely one of the strongest off the album and I’m glad she chose to make a video for it. The MV is pretty decent all around with a lot of dance scenes… it’s kind of corny but in a fun way. But does anyone else think she looked better in the non-club scenes where she’s not all made up? Just my two cents haha.

afterschoolspecial x Taiyo Na x Magnetic North x MOVeMedia Release the “Be” MV

For the second single off their It’s All In Your Head debut full length album, afterschoolspecial has chosen to push the song “Be”, complete with a proper music video treatment. The track features New York artists Taiyo Na and Derek of Magnetic North and makes extensive use of a comic book motif. The single itself is sick. It’s a great collection of artists and a great rap/rock song overall. I thought the video itself was pretty decent, thanks in part to Scott Yoshimoto and his MOVeMEDIA group, but it wasn’t quite as polished as their video with Wong Fu.

Nump Trump x Traxamillion Release New Single – “I’m Hungover” [Free DL]

Here’s a new track from 454′s Nump Trump featuring Traxamillion called “I’m Hungover”. The title is pretty self explanatory and it should be pretty clear what the song is about. The production is a pretty great sample flip of the Office theme song and I gotta admit it’s a fairly catchy track. I’m just not too crazy about the subject matter, I feel like they could have done something more creative with such a dope beat. But it’s still worth the free DL, so what are you waiting for?

Decipher Releases “The Introduction” MV

It shouldn’t be a secret by now that I’m a Decipher fan, and this video is a perfect example of why that’s the case. He and his team have put together a music video for the intro of his upcoming album, The Effect, due out next week. If this is just the introduction, you can imagine what the rest of the album will sound like. I believe this marks De’s official solo MV debut and he chose some great people to work with cause the video came out great. Great shots, editing, locations and style choices all around.

AJ Rafael ft. Jenny Suk – Happy Xmas (War Is Over) Christmas Series 5/5

Jenny Suk & AJ Rafael collaborating together!  I didnt think I’d get to see this again but they finally covered another song together!  Before Jenny left to go back home, AJ took the chance to make this video.  In my opinion, this cover and AJ’s cover with Tori Kelly on his Christmas Series are the best covers.  This last cover was the best cover to finish off the Christmas Series.  If you don’t know what I’m talking about, just listen to the video.  They harmonized very well and sang very well equally.  Towards the end of the video, AJ gives his thanks and talks about his album, so watch till the end of the video!

Melissa Polinar Releases EP – As of Now

Here we go folks. One of the last releases of 2010, Melissa Polinar drops her heavily anticipated EP – As of Now. She started fundraising for this album back in October, and it’s come to fruition. You’ve heard the song “This Road“, “Say You’ll Stay“, “Perfectly Distracted“, and “Never Change” but now you get to hear them in their intended studio glory (with production credit going to Jesse Barrera). Dig in your pockets and pick up the EP for just under $6. Available at iTunes & Amazon!

4Play Ladies Release the “Dirty Little Secret” MV

Back in October, up and coming group 4Play Ladies released their single “Dirty Little Secret“. A few days back they dropped the official MV for the track. The song has actually grown a little bit on me since it was initially released but I have mixed opinions about the video. It reminded me a lot of the 90′s pop videos, with elements of En Vogue, Janet Jackson, and Madonna – which along with everything else from the 90′s can bring both good and bad. It may not be an impressive “piece of art” but it suits their song and overall image just fine. Hopefully this sparks the return of more female groups, something the Asian American music scene is lacking. You can pick up the single on Amazon!

J.Reyez x Maribelle Anes x Traphik – I Wanna Be A Star [Official Video]

Who wants to be a star?! I think everyone wants to be someone famous or important when they grow up.  Maribelle Anes, J.Reyez, and Traphik got the chance to work together when they toured out in Australia.  They just didn’t make simple cover but an official music video of an original track!  I know this had something to do with Maribelle tweeting to Traphik on twitter constantly about working together.  You guys might think that’s annoying to do but it shows hustle and hard work for Maribelle.  I mean it really paid off when she made plans cause not only did she work with Traphik, she worked with J.Reyez as well.  This song is something I can hear bumping too in my car really loud.  Also if it was on mainstream music, I could see it being at the top of the list!  I like how they took the advantage of the scene they were at.  Guess what, the song is for free! Download it here!

Verseatile feat. Jason Chen (JDC) – “If I Ruled” Music Video

Can you say lyrical?  Even though you might not understand the meaning of the song, he’s speaking the truth.  If you don’t get what it means, let me break it down for ya!  Instead of thinking you have control of everything or it’s in you’re rule, think about surrendering everything to God and it’s in his control.  As for the video, I really like the beginning of it because it started out as Verseatile walking on the streets of LA.  Also it was slow motioned which makes you kind of anxious on how it’s going to sound.  The beat to the song is very fitting, it’s not to much or too little.  Sometimes songs need to tone it down a notch.  Also the guest in this song should be very familiar with you guys.  His name is Jason Chen, he never disappoints me with his singing but sometimes I’d like to hear his actual voice sing.

Erinpaulaa – This Christmas (Acapella In the Snow)

She has such a beautiful voice, oh who might you ask? It’s Erin Paula of course!  She is currently home with the family for the Holidays!  Even though she’s home, she promised us a Christmas song from her!  She cover the song “This Christmas.”  How do I know she has great talent well if you look at the video, she’s outside in the snow!  Who would be dumb enough to take an expensive camera/microphone into the snow, where it’s wet?  I know for sure, it’s not Erin Paula!  She’s probably recording on her iPhone or just a regular camera and you know their not the best quality at times.  Just listening to her sing makes me melt inside! Start from 0:22 for the actual singing
