Baiyu Interviews w/ Asiance Magazine

Singer Baiyu has a new interview out with Asiance Magazine. You get to hear a little bit more about life before her music career, and how she ended up going all in on her orignal passion. Not only does the interview touch upon the past but it also goes into the present day, with her distribution deal with JMD/Universal and her recently released EP, B-Side. I imagine many of you may not be quite as familiar with Baiyu as some of the other artists we cover so I definitely recommend you check out the interview in full. You can read it after the break or by heading over to Asiance Magazine.

Justin Nozuka Nominated for 2011 Juno Award

The nominees for the 2011 Juno Awards have been announced and it looks like Justin Nozuka has been given a nod under the Adult Alternative Album of the Year category. What is the Juno Awards you ask? Think of it as Canada’s version of the Grammys,  meant to highlight the talented individuals from our neighbors to the north. This is big recognition for Justin and his album You I Wind Land and Sea released last year. You can check out the rest of the nominees here. The ceremony will be held March 27th and will be hosted by Drake. Congrats to Justin on the nomination and best of luck!

Sam Ock Releases A New Original “Green Shades”

Sam finally releases a new video, I’ve been waiting for one for a while now!  Every time he does, I’m always impressed.  Not that I wasn’t satisfied with his music, I just like to see musicians grow. Recently AMP (Sam, James, & CL) performed at a show called Inspire ’11, they rocked the show with many other artists like Jason Min. Also there is much respect for Sam because he’s sticking with what he believes.  This song has so much meaning, just take a second and really listen to the song.  I’m sure a lot of us go through the same thing as well.  The instrumentals playing was very fitting and the beat was just right, it wasn’t too much or too little.  If you guys are wondering what he said in Japanese in the video, he said “I don’t know anything” in the beginning and towards the end he said, “But you know, it’s alright. Lets go together.”If you guys like this song as much as I did then you’re in luck cause it free!  Get your free DL here!

Triangle Offense Releases Teaser of New Single – “Love It (One in a Million)”

The Jersey trio known as Triangle Offense has been a little quiet lately, but they have a new mixtape in the works called The First Love, set to drop on Valentine’s Day. They have a trio for the lead single entitled “Love It (One in a Million) and it reminds me of the days of 90′s R&B. That’s a good thing. The clip is only 40 seconds long and leaves more questions than answers, but that was probably the point. Sounds promising so far and there is only a couple more weeks till the release, so be sure to check back here at a-Tunes!
