Bruno Mars Drops “The Lazy Song” MV

Here ya go, the latest visuals courtesy of Bruno Mars for his song “The Lazy Song” off his Doo-wops & Hooligans album. It’s a fun, laid back video just like the song that has a bit of a 90′s feel to it. I know this track is a fan favorite but personally this was one of the songs I initially liked but grew somewhat tired of quickly. But regardless, it’s doing well on the radio and I’m more than happy to see Elektra Records continue to give him some marketing push.

Far East Movement, Bruno Mars & More Named as Finalists for 2011 Billboard Music Awards

It’s been a huge year for some of the artists we cover, and as proof check out this rather substantial list of categoriesour artists have been named as being in the running for in the 2011 Billboard Music Awards. Bruno Mars in particular is in a ton of categories, so hopefully he’ll go home with at least one award, if not more. FM is represented as well, though not in nearly enough categories as we would have liked. We’ve thrown in a couple groups we don’t cover as often as well like Linkin Park and the Black Eyed Peas because Mike Shinoda/Joe Hahn and Apl.de.ap are still represnting, respectively. The show will air May 22nd on ABC. Catch the full list of nominees over at Billboard.com.

Paul Jisung Kim Shares “Girls are Complicated”

Here’s the latest clip from Paul Jisung Kim. He’s singing an original tune called “Girls are Complicated”, a mildly catchy song that has some potential if laid out properly. In this particular video he reminded me a lot of Mat Kearny, not sure if any one else here’s the resemblance… maybe it’s me. A decent clip, let’s hope it makes it unto his next studio release.
