Kina Grannis Debuts the MV for “The One You Say Goodnight To”

Just last week, we saw a live clip of Kina singing her song “The One You Say Goodnight To”, and it looks like the track is indeed the next official single off her Stairwells album. Below is the latest MV (featuring Chester See) from the rising singer/songwriter, and I’m happy to say it retains her simple but charismatic charm and sensibilities found in her previous visual offerings. The MV debuted on MTVu and was even featured on the front page of MTV today – with the Youtube release slated for tomorrow. But for those who can’t wait for the video to show up in their YT subscriptions, you can check it out below!

Kaile Goh Interviews w/ BETA TV

Young rocker Kaile Goh recently had the opportunity to chat with BETA TV, a smaller market but nationally syndicated TV show focused on up an coming indie bands. Check out the short feature on Kaile as she discusses a little bit about her workflow, and along with all the training activities she undergoes to develop and perfect her craft. After watching the clip, I have to say she is a surprisingly mellow conversationalist compared to her energetic musical persona.

Adam Warrock Announces the Browncoats Mixtape – Due Fall 2011

On of our favorite alternative Hip-Hop MCs – Adam Warrock – has just announced his latest project. It’s called The Browncoats Mixtape and is set for a Fall release; only a few months away. He’s released the cover art (see above) along with a short preview (see below) for you to get an idea of what’s to come. Peep the promo page for more details and to subscribe to his e-mail list to be kept in the loop.

Just a note, I can appreciate the fact that he sampled Firefly. I loved that show.

Young Chariz Drops “The Final Curtain” MV

Flipping a classic Sinatra sample, Young Chariz has released the visuals for the closing track to his album It’s Curtains that dropped just a touch over a month ago. Sonically, it’s a quality track though I had mixed feelings about how the sample was flipped; other than that the beat is pretty strong. As for the visuals, they are clean but could have benefited from some extra lighting in some scenes.

Raden Sings About a “Killa”

R&B singer Raden just shared a tune called “Killa”, where the content isn’t nearly as violent as the title may have you believe. It’s actually kind of a sweet, smooth tune though arguably a tad overproduced vocally. The track is also available as a free DL, if you were so inclined to add it to your music collection. It’s a decent listen, check it our for your self below.

Mike B is Ready to “Roll Credits” [MV]

Mike B is one of the newer voices to come out of K-Town LA, who has gotten the co-sign from the region’s veterans including Dumb, Furis, Surrilla and more. In preparation for the release of his upcoming project Better Late Than Never, he’s dropped the MV for the intro – “Roll Credits”. Johnny Art aka Furis is the man responsible for the clean visuals; you can expect the full collection of songs to drop July 22nd.
