We’ve known roughly for a month now that Jessi Malay was gearing up to make a comeback, and now her latest single and music video with the rapper Prophet called “Like You”, has finally dropped. They seemed to gone a little further than your average music video, incorporating an entire action sequence as the visual backdrop to the song. It’s a fairly catchy pop single and the video is interesting (with a twist!), if not a bit random. Can’t wait to see/hear more from Ms Malay!

Lyricks Talks About the “Kimchi”

“Kimchi” is the latest music leak from Lee, Rick aka Lyricks. This is one of his older joints from the period of his brief stint as a West Coast resident a number of years back. I can appreciate the topical raps, especially considering it’s about a food that I’ve grown up with – to the olfactory dismay of the non-Koreans around me. It’s a free DL via the soundclick widget below so enjoy!

Jin Interviews w/ AX3
Jin is no stranger to the media and certainly has had his fair share of interviews, but this recent one with AX3 during a recent stop in Vancouver is one of the more thorough ones we’ve seen and is certainly one of the most informative glimpses of the “new” Jin. The total running time clocks in at approximately 20 minutes so you definitely need to set aside some time for the complete watch. They pretty much talk about everything so it’s certainly worth your time.
Hear How Mike-Dash-E is “Turning Tables”
MDE is turning out to be one of the more consistent Hip-Hop artists we cover on a-Tunes. His latest, “Turning Tables”, is another strong drop from the Bay area artist. It’s reportedly off an upcoming yet-to-be-titled project and makes use of a great Adele sample from her song of the same name. I definitely enjoyed this track, looking forward to hearing what else is in store from the project.
Sam Hart Sings About “The Storm That Left Us Behind”
“The Storm That Left Us Behind” is another slow ballad by Sam Hart, featuring his trademark video set up complete with pet cat in the background. I’d honestly wouldn’t complain if he chose to switch things up more often, perhaps singing a more upbeat tune once in a while but I gotta give him credit for sticking to what his own style. In his own words the song is “about how sometimes we only remember the happy moments”.
