Verseatile x Manifest x JoAnne Share “Who We Are” [MV]

About a month after first revealing the preview, Verse has dropped the full MV of “Who We Are” from his Worlds Apart EP -  featuring VA/Korea’s Manifest and former K-Pop star Jo-Anne on the hook. V did the video proper by making sure Mani made it into the visuals, thank God for the era of digital video – making intercontinental collabs all the more possible. Video is cleanly edited though it’s pretty much your standard single-cam-on-the-artist type of fare.

DFD Performs “Town” Off Upcoming Album

Jonathan Park aka DFD aka Dumbfoundead gives you a new peek at a cut from his upcoming November 1st album, DFD. The song is called “Town” and he spits it acoustic style, only accompanied by a guitarist for the instrumental background. It’s become pretty clear he’s grown as a song writer – I’m very optimistic for this album.

Watch Victor Kim’s Interview w/ ChannelAPA

If you’ve ever wanted to hear from Quest Crew member Victor Kim, who has re-branded himself Victor King, then this is a good clip to watch courtesy of ChannelAPA. Victor talks a bit about his start with music, dancing, and entertainment along with what it’s been like living with some like-famous friends. There’s a lot of good tidbits of information in there that all you fans should enjoy.

The Creative Youtube Remixes Round-Up – 9/26/11

Today we chose to showcase some of the more creative covers/remixes we’ve come across in the past couple weeks. Each of the following renditions are different enough from the original – either in arrangement, instrumentation, genre, etc that we thought you shouldn’t miss them. Jane Lui gives an incredible interpretation of “Moves Like Jagger”. One Way takes it back with some interpolation of R&B classics. JV stays a bit more contemporary but mashes up a couple Drake hits on the acoustic 6-string. Laura Song & friends give an intriguing performance powered by iPads. And lastly, Maribelle takes an FM song and changes up the genre – leaving only the beat in tact. Check them all out!

“Take Me On” MV Released by New Heights x Clara C

The music video is finally here folks! Band New Heights have just released the visuals for “Take Me On” featuring the beautiful (and apparently deadly) Clara Chung. In an interesting move, they chosen to go a slightly dramatic and action packed route. If you’ve ever wondered what any of these artists would look like in slow-motion action sequences including automatic weapons, crazy cars, and choreographed fights then this video is for you. It’s a very entertaining watch, to say the least! The song is off their newly released album – Something to Believe In.

Just ‘Cause: Watch Dumbfoundead, Traphik, D-Pryde & Others Spit Some Freestyle

Came across the following clips today of some artists going back to one of the fundamental arts of Hip-Hop – freestyling. Of course both clips feature Dumb because quite frankly, that dude is in a league of his own. Watch him completely kill both sessions, regardless of beat or tempo. He’s joined by Traphik, D-Pryde and others in the 2nd clip where everyone is having fun though I can’t say its the most polished exhibition.

Find Out How the Yellow Boyz are “Gettin Famous”

“Gettin Famous” is a leak off the upcoming yet-to-be-titled mixtape by The Yellow Boyz. It’s an interesting snapshot of their careers as they have finally begun to gain some traction and develop a buzz for themselves in both domestic and international markets. It’s a pretty chill track – look for the new tape from Joel Howard, Al-P & Passda in the not too distant future.

See Sam Hart Rock the Uke on “He Could Say”

Ooh, this is a bit refreshing. Sam‘s newest tune is, dare I say, a bit upbeat in tempo. He goes for a bluesy-pop type of vibe with the uke being his interesting weapon of choice on this one, titled “He Could Say”. The subject matter isn’t quite as chipper though – but I suppose it wouldn’t be a Sam Hart song otherwise (not including the Mario Kart Love song).

Pmac Makes a “Comeback” MV

This is the latest music video from the kid Pmac for his track “Comeback” – an extended one verse track that P spits with conviction. He chose to go a conceptual route with the video though I can’t say it was a home run. I actually found it to be a bit random and underdeveloped – he could have really expanded upon the idea. Check out his quick explanation and lyrics below.
