City Boy aka Derez Releases New MV “Like Never Before” ft Encinas

It seems that City Boy has gone through an alias change and has shifted to the name Derez to promote himself. Regardless of the name tag, he’s got a new track out called “Like Never Before” along with an MV to match. His flows are strong, as per usual, but I wasn’t quite as fond of the hook. Also the production values of the video scream “amateur” and could really have benefited from some better lighting.

The song is available as a free DL here.

The “Real Love” MV is Coming Soon by J-ricz x Michelle Martinez x J Dutch

Better late than never! J-ricz is preparing to release the MV for “Real Love” a song that dropped back in February also featuring Meesh and J Dutch. It looks like we can expect some crisp visuals and I have to say my interest is piqued. Unfortunately we’re only left with a delivery date of “Fall 2011″, so let’s hope it’s sooner rather than later!

I wanted to share with you my official teaser for my 3rd single “Real Love” music video featuring the talented bay area’s own Michelle Martinez & J Dutch. In life, we fall in love, we get hurt, and we try move on only to find out that some things are meant to happen. This music video is about finding out that true love finds us when we least expect it. Stay tuned for the FALL 2011 release!

Count to “88″ with Wolftron

“88″ is a new tune by Kenny Choi aka Wolftron. It’s a chill tune, with Ken’s eclectic brand of pop/rock fully in tact. I’m diggin the lyrics and general feel of the song, though I’m honestly hoping this is all leading to something a bit grander in scale than random song leaks here and there. Could there be an album in the works? Let’s hope so.

DUKE Presents “One Love (I Love You)”

“One Love (I Love You)” marks the return of the artist known as Schoolboy DUKE. He stays true to his radio-friendly style, releasing a song that bends genres as is his status quo. You get a little bit of rap, a little bit of singing, a little bit of pop and a little bit of electronica; all mixed into one. Take a listen and feel free to follow along with the lyrics below.

See the “Autumn” Video by Your Heart (Songs to Wear Pants To)

Andrew Huang, under one of his many musical aliases – this time Your Heart, has put up a new visual for the appropriately timed release of “Autumn”. The song is the title track off his album released in the Spring of 2010. FYI, Your Heart is the moniker he uses for his Rock/Pop/Alt alter-ego. Visuals are simple, but stylishly well done – making the most of a very limited location (inside a car).

Paul Kim, David So & Shawn Stockman Go through The History of R&B

This is one of those videos where I’m kicking myself for not checking it out earlier. It was squirreled away in my bookmarks and I never realized I was sleeping on a gem! R&B singer Paul Kim along with David So go through a number of  Rythm and Blues hits from over the years with a special appearance by none other than Shawn from BIIM. Crazy. This clip had me laughing and crying and begging for more… or at least something close to that. Love it.

Prometheus Brown & Bambu Feature On La’s “Diamonds”

It’s yet another collab with Pro & Bam on a track together, only both of them are filling in guest spots for the song “Diamonds” from La’s new album Sealab 2012. La aka Language Arts is another Seattle artist who is perhaps best known for his battle skills. He’s put together a strong track and did well by getting Geo & Bambu to drop a verse too. I’m diggin’ the soul sample too.
