Snapshot: Sad Face Jennifer “Chun”
Last winter, Jennifer Chung was part of an event in the North East where the promotions/marketing team made encountered a small snafu – they ever so slightly misspelled Jen’s name. Leaving off the last letter, Jennifer Chung was transformed into Jennifer Chun. An honest mistake really, but one that was still caught by Ms Chung herself. Here she is humorously posing next to one of the event posters. Hey, nobody’s perfect!
Watch The English Version of “Get It In” by Tasha featuring Smokey Robotic

We shared the international/Korean release of Yoon Mirae/Tasha/T’s “Get It In” featuring her husband Drunken Tiger but the English version is also available. The visuals are all the same but the song features Smokey Robotic this time around as the male vocals. Once again, production was handled in part by Illmind. Lastly, you might like to know that both versions of the track are now available for purchase via iTunes.
The ‘Free Jimmyboi’ Mixtape Announced for November 16th Release

If any of you Southern rap fans were wondering why things have been relatively quiet from Jimmyboi and his camp, it’s largely due to the fact that he has found himself in a bit of legal trouble earlier this year. That’s why they are releasing the Free Jimmyboi mixtape on November 16th featuring a number of remixes and originals. As part of the promotions, they are dropping several music videos too. You can check out the promo video below.
AMP Debuts “Inspired” featuring Gowe x Mickey Cho

In a cross-country collaboration, AMP has dropped a new track featuring Gowe & Mickey Cho in a song appropriately titled “Inspired”. The song was recorded during the recent Inspire Cali 2011 event when everyone was able to come together and record this track. The 5 artists all take turns on a classic, soul-inspired beat and best of all… it’s a free DL. Well, sort of – it’ll cost you a tweet or facebook post. Hopefully you’re on one of those social networks. Get the song here for free.
Tommy C Drops the MV for “So Sorry”
It seems like IBU’s Tommy C is continuing to make a name for himself, setting up a path to solo success when aside from his group activities. “So Sorry” is the latest from the Chicago R&B artist, another drop from his upcoming C mixtape supposedly due in 2012. The following MV has some above average production values for the otherwise mildly catchy song. I think most R&B/Pop fans will enjoy this one.

The Yellow Boyz Share The “Good Timez” MV
Seeing how this weekend is probably one of the biggest party nights of the year, many of you may appreciate the new MV from the Yellow Boyz. “Good Timez” is a radio friendly track that serves as a fitting addition to any booze inspired evening of recreation. Whether or not that’s your thing is a completely different story. If you like what you hear, the single is available for a pretty penny… or 99 of them at least.
Passport: FlowEthics Collab with Re:plus on “Let the Story Tell”‘

Japanese Jazz/Hip-Hop outfit, Re:plus, have tapped the talents of another Asian-American act – none other than Flow Ethics. Once you think about it, FE seems like a perfect fit for a feature on a Re:plus production… they did compete on Kollaboration Acoustic a couple years back after all. And you know what? They make a strong a team as any as the song, “Let the Story Tell” is one of the best tracks I’ve heard yet from the California group. Take a listen below! This is from the album Ordinary Landscape, available in Japan.

Megan Lee Shares the Lyric Video for “In the Future”

“In the Future” is a song that Megan Lee wrote a couple years back to encourage and support her younger sister. It’s a touching, heart warming song that reveals the likely importance of family in her life. Sappy, you say? Perhaps, but I’d argue that was completely the point. Considering that Lee wrote this at such a young age, I’d say this is a fairly impressive piece of work.
