David Choi Shares “This and That is Life” and Opens Pre-orders for ‘Forever and Ever’

David Choi‘s next album, Forever and Ever, has officially reached pre-order status as of today (we shared the album cover a few days back). To help commeroate the occasion, he’s shared a illustrated music video for the song “This and That Is Life” – a catchy pop tune with the visuals done courtesy of DK (The same guy who did the animated fan video for Dumbfoundead’s “Are We There Yet“). Hopefully this is an accurate indication of things to come. Lyrics are after the break!

Thank you guys so much for your continued support! I’m happy to announce pre-orders for my new album “Forever and Ever”!!! Make sure you grab your copy!

I also hope you enjoy this song that means a lot to me. Life can suck sometimes, but life can be good sometimes. Sometimes, it’s just plain weird. In the end, we’re just all trying to find happiness.

Passport: Wang Leehom Releases the WongFu Directed MV for “Still In Love With You”

At the start of September we informed you that WongFu Productions were heading overseas to film the MV for international pop star Wang Leehom. Well, the completed product for the single “Still In Love With You” has been revealed and it turned out beautifully if I do say so myself. Clean, sharp visuals coupled with good pacing and editing make for a fitting visual to the mid-tempo ballad. Great job WongFu!

Tasha Named in MTV Iggy’s 12 Best New Female Emcees

Tasha aka Baby T aka Yoon Mirae aka the queen of Korean Hip-Hop, got a mention in Iggy’s list of ’12 Best New Female Emcees’. Sure, it’s an editorial piece but we thought it was worth mentioning considering she made the cut among some of the best international stars to rock the mic and two X chromosomes. I am more than inclined to agree. Check out the full article here.

#12 T YOON MIRAE

T Yoon Mirae, is recognized as the reigning queen of South Korean hip hop — and it’s not just because she’s married to its king, Tiger JK of Drunken Tiger fame. This American-born “Queen of Soul” is known for her vocal chops as well as her talent as a rapper. She sweeps the Korean Music Awards and murders microphones on the regular – but we really love her for her child abuse prevention work and multi-cultural youth activism.

Snapshot: Dia Frampton Graces the Cover of KoreAm

Dia x KoreAm

For some reason there is a rumor floating around that I’m obsessed with Dia Frampton. Allow me to clear the publicly clear the the record – I’m not obsessed, just kind of in love with her.

Of course, I’m kidding… sort of. But that’s not the point. The purpose of this post is to inform you that Dia Frampton (whom many of you may know from the inaugural season of NBC’s The Voice , others may know her from her band with her sister Meg), has landed the front cover of the premier magazine for Korean Americans – KoreAm. Yea, she looks fantastic on it too. Anyhow, it also looks like Tokimonsta gets a feature inside the mag too, so go and pick up a copy!

D-Pryde x August Rigo Release the “Big Shot” MV Directed by Rik Cordero

This is yet another collaboration between Prizzy and director Rik Cordero. It’s a good look to have him in this corner because the visuals for the August Rigo assisted “Big Shot” are on point – but I suppose that’s only to be expected from the seasoned videographer. The song has a more R&B/Drake-ish type of feel to it though it’s kind of refreshing to hear a mellowed out D who typically spits with an aggressive tenacity.

Cilla Chan Features for Sex Ray Vision on “All of You”

Standford Student/singer Cilla Chan recently had a feature guest vocal on Sex Ray Vision’s “All of You” – a catchy pop/dance number. For the unitiated, SRV is the production duo that handled the crafting of said track with Chan taking care of the vocal duties. If you like what you hear, you can download the song for free here. Overall, I’m just glad to hear an original studio track from Cilla, whom is typically known for her covers.
