“Put It On Ya” is the latest MV from Lil Crazed in promotion of his Chapter 3: Liberation mixtape. This one is an R&B track but with a dance beat, so of course some choreo had to be implemented. Production values are generally strong and it’s good to see him mix it up a little bit, with the added dance & story elements. You can catch the making of feature after the break. The video was produced by Scott Yoshimoto & The Dreamlapse Project.
It would appear that Paul Dateh has something big cooking up in the lab. He’s posted up a preview/teaser clip of a new single titled “oneforjames (the parting glass)” and has offered few other details other than the fact that it’s due in December. OK Mr Dateh, you have my attention now… but why do we have to wait a month? Can’t wait to hear the final product.
Connie Lim has gone ahead with the process of re-branding herself as The Forrest Filosophy, and just posted up a new song under that alias. The following clip is a live performance of “From My Lips”. The footage is a little on the dark side, and the audio is unbalanced but it’s still a soothing listen and peek of things to come.

We haven’t had a Freshmen feature since the summer – so this is long overdue. This is where we spotlight artists who haven’t quite developed a following yet, and are still working on establishing themselves. Remember it’s important that you, the readers, vote either thumbs up or thumbs down on these posts because this will help us decide which of these artists can graduate from The Freshmen and be a part of the regular rotation of a-Tunes Music News.
Mark Agustin is a Filipino-American artist from the SF Bay area. Don’t let the guy’s young looks fool you as he’s in his mid twenties and has been involved with music for a while – though he’s just starting to gain some traction. Agustin isn’t a complete stranger to our site though, he was previously involved in a big 2NE1 remix collab. But he’s just dropped a mini-album called Pride & Shame and is pushing the MV for the single “Free” off the project; which is what caught our eyes and ears for this feature.
But what say you? Does Mark Agustin have what it takes to warrant continued coverage? Click the thumbs up to keep the MC around or thumbs down and it’s on to the next one.
Here’s a new video drop from the kid D-Pryde. The song is off his Mars Mixtapefrom earlier in the Summer, and makes use of a very familiar sample from Journey. Both the song and video are classic D-Pryde, full of catchy and fun energy. Still kind of startling to look back and realize the dude started rapping remixes in-front of a webcam. Check out the MV below!
