Multi-talented artist Joanlee has dropped the MV for “WTF”, a single about the day after a night of fun. The track is from his free Under the Radar mixtape album that dropped back in June of this past summer. You will find the lyrics after the break in case you wanted to follow along with the expletive-filled song.

Andrew Huang Releases the ‘Schism’ Album & MV to “We Are the Never Ending Story”

Andrew Huang has to be one of the most creative and hard working musicians in the business right now. He has yet another album released; this one is called Schism and is more of a nod to his electronica/experimental side of things. To see what I mean you can check out the music video to the single “We Are the Never Ending Story” – but you may want to be careful if you have a history of epilepsy or seizures… Just kidding.
Chosen One Shares Visuals to “My Testimony”
Chosen One has been known to throw up some interesting visuals set to his music, but his artistic choices this time around may be one of my favorites from him. He made use of some time lapse video by Stefan Were for his song “My Testimony”. It’s a visually arresting watch though not exactly a perfect 1 to 1 match for the song. Enjoy!
Preview “Let the Rain Fall” by Tommy C & Drama B
Just so you don’t forget that the #CMixtape is on it’s way for a 2012 debut, Tommy C has dropped a preview clip of a song with Drama B called “Let the Rain Fall”. Did anyone order some Pop/R&B? Because that’s exactly what you’ree getting with this one – which is a good thing considering it plays to Tommy’s strengths. We’ll let you know when the final version drops!
IAMMEDIC Releases New Single – “Breathe”

Group IAMMEDIC has a new album in the works called Monster Monster and the lead single is “Breathe”. The track is a bit of departure from their norm and is the self-described “slow song of the album”. That being said, even if you’re a fan of IAMMEDIC for their dance tunes, I think the majority of you will find a way to appreciate this one too. It’s a refreshing change of pace if you ask me. Guess what? It’s also a free DL so get it via the bandcamp widget.
The Wonder Girls Land on Billboard’s Social 50 Chart

This isn’t exactly breaking news but we still found it worth sharing – International all-female pop group, The Wonder Girls, have finally found themselves listed on some Billboard metrics. No, they didn’t have a number single with “Be My Baby” or album with Wonder World, but rather, they have debuted at #33 on Billboard’s Social 50 Chart. Never heard of the chart? Here’s an explanation:
A ranking of the most active artists on the world’s leading social networking sites. Artists’ popularity is determined by a formula blending their weekly additions of friends/fans/followers along with artist page views and weekly song plays, as measured by Next Big Sound.
It’s interesting to see Billboard continue to explore new ways to measure and quantify music consumption in an increasingly medium-diverse world. That being said, this is a notable milestone but I imagine it’s not quite the impact the ladies and JYP are willing to settle for. We’ll keep you updated along the way!
The Guys Covering Girls Youtube Round-Up – 11/23/11
It’s officially the day before Thanksgiving. Not that has anything to do with this post… but regardless! Today we have a collection of Youtube covers by male artists that are actually showcasing their rendition of songs by Top 40 female artists. Mickey Cho, Mike Isberto, New Heights, Andrew Huang, and Oak & Gorski have all made roll call and give their best to do the original artists justice. Which one is your favorite?

Jessi Malay Shares the Trailer to the “Role Play” MV

On November 29th you’ll be able to check out the music video to Jessi Malay‘s newest single, “Role Play” ft Prophet. To help encourage a little buzz, the singer and her team have posted up the trailer clip to the visuals. It looks like they went all out for this one, with production values looking sharp. It looks like it may be a bit risque, for better or worse depending where you fall on the subject. We’ll have it up once it’s officially released!
Priscilla Ahn & Rachael Yamagata Feature on Ashtar Command’s ‘American Sunshine’ Album

Priscilla Ahn & Rachael Yamagata
If you’re an indie music fan, you may be familiar with a band called Ashtar Command. Well, fairly recently, they dropped a new album entitled American Sunshine and if you peruse the tracklist you’ll notice that two of our favorite artists make numerous guest appearances on the project – Priscilla Ahn & Rachael Yamagata. If you’re on Spotify (and honestly, there’s no reason you shouldn’t be) then you can check out the album in full. For those that want to snap them up for their music player of choice, you can find the links to the aforementioned tracks after the break.
Magnetic North x Taiyo Na to Drop MV for “Home:Word” ft Sam Kang & Directed by Wong Fu
It’s been years since Wong Fu first started to produce official music videos for artists, but things seem to be coming back around full circle as they are linking up with Magnetic North once again for the “Home:Word” visual with Taiyo Na & Sam Kang. Mag North & Wong Fu previously linked up for “Drift Away” about half a decade ago, and both teams have only grown in their respective crafts so I can’t wait to see the final cut of the visual to the title track from last year’s album. Look for the video to drop December 7th
It’s the holiday season, and what better time to be reminded of what’s most important in our lives. Not our job, our finals, or material things…but family, home, peace.
We’re proud to be releasing our latest music video on December 7th. “Home: Word” by Magnetic North and Taiyo Na ft. Sam Kang. We shot it at the beginning of this month in New York City (or first time shooting there), and you may already know our history with Magnetic North, so this is a very special project to us. Not our typical boy/girl stories, but still just as meaningful and often unsaid.
