Last Fall, TM & GIBS V brought us a new song called “Higher“, a heavily auto-tuned, radio friendly track. Today saw the release of the official music video for said single. In a way it’s a perfectly fitting visual for the track – easy to watch/listen but not entirely making a lasting impression. Although I will say that seeing that beach makes me feel even colder on this Winter February day on the East Coast.

Tyga Drops ‘Careless World: Rise Of The Last King’

Vietnamese-Jaimican-American, Young Money recording artist, Tyga, isn’t exactly my cup of tea, but enough of you enjoy his music to have given him a top 10 Billboard single. So from the same artist that brought you the timeless classic, “Rack City”, comes his sophomore solo album - Careless World: Rise Of The Last King. You’re getting over 20 tracks with this release, so make some room on your playlists. OK, I’ll stop giving the guy a hard time; “Far Away” was an enjoyable track.
Erin Paula Sings for MYX TV – “Do You Think About Me?”
We’re still waiting for “Do You Think About Me” to officially drop as a single, but that hasn’t kept Erin Paula from performing the song live. Here she is on the set of MYX-Rated, while playing the acoustic guitar herself, to boot. The girl looks and sounds great – showing a lot of growth from her early days as a cover artist with Rin on the Rox. Now, if only that song will see the light of day on online music stores.
Andrew Huang Gives You “New Love”
“New Love” is the latest song Andrew Huang is pushing from his Schism release that dropped last November. The artist of many hats continues to bend genres and experiment with his music, perpetuating his undefinable brand. The video is cleanly edited though not as visually arresting as some of his previous work. Lyrics can be found after the video.
Jason Chen Unveils MV for “Solo (Game for Two)”
The branding of this track is a little confusing, as official tracklists on iTunes & Amazon list the song as “Solo (Game for Two)” but Jason Chen has been promoting this MV under the “Solo Player” title, but regardless, the official music video is online. The teaser was released last week, giving us a pretty good idea of what to expect and Chen didn’t really stray from the blueprint. You can view the Gravity single below.
David Choi Shares Teaser to “Missing Piece” MV (Dir. by Ross Ching)
Earlier in January, we shared the news with you that David Choi was working on a new music video directed by Ross Ching and starring actress Ellen Wong for the single “Missing Piece” from his third album, Forever and Ever. Now, we finally have the official trailer and a release date – February 27th. So if you can sit patiently for a week, the new MV will be available for your streaming enjoyment in no time. Stay tuned!
