Catch Up on Jessica Sanchez’s FINAL American Idol Performances from Tonight’s Show

Months of hard work and determination has come to this, friends. Jessica Sanchez competed tonight as one of TWO finalists (along with Phil Phillips) vying for the American Idol crown in the 11th season of the long running competition. It’s clear the girl can sing, but admittedly she played it a little on the safer side this week – sticking to power pop ballads. But in our humble opinion, she deserves to be your next American Idol. Let’s make it happen!

Watch the Soothing Video for Andrew Huang’s “Stay (Santa Monica)”

If people refer to fresh debuts as ‘new new’, then this could be classified as ‘old new’. It’s new because it’s been unreleased, but both the song and video were actually created some time ago. The song is off Andrew Huang‘s Love Songs project that dropped back last fall, while the video itself predates that by a year, having been filmed in November 2010. I guess Huang has had this in his back pocket for quite some time now.

Filmed in Santa Monica by Philip Bowser, November 2010. I know I know, that’s like a year and a half ago…I was waiting for it to be all summertime outside before posting this…and then 2011 got really crazy…and now here we are…

An “I/O” Performance by Paul Dateh

Gear heads and those with a predilection for the blending of technology and music (ME!ME!ME!) should really appreciate this video. Paul Dateh uses a variety of audio gear, including the beloved iPad in conjunction with an Alesis iO Dock. Of course, Paul’s trusty violin makes an appearance too. Gotta love those who like to push boundaries with how they create art!

View the MV for “Turn Around” by Derez x Marnie Brown

The “Turn Around” MV has finally had it’s premiere. The Derez x Marnie Brown track will be off the Derezolution album, with a late 2012 release date of November 23rd (talk about early planning). Mr. Brown went for more of a dramatic, cinematic flair – a good decision despite the middling picture quality. “Turn Around” is a free DL, here.

D-Pryde‘s Flagship project will be dropping on June 3rd, and the following “PSA” was released to build a little buzz for it. It’s a little bit bizarre and perhaps even a little bit kinky… I guess the kid Prizzy is growing up, huh? The release will be available on Datpiff by Mars Music Group – so just sit tight for a couple weeks.

AJ Rafael Performs for ISA TV’s Secret Stage

ISA has started a new performance video series called Secret Stage, and for the premiere episode they’ve invited AJ Rafael to hold an intimate little session where she sings “Emma Watson“. In case you don’t remember, the ode to the English actress is from his debut album Red Roses (from last Summer). AJ chose to perform at his old middle school, where his love for the arts first blossomed, driving him into the creative lane that we know him for now.
