For such a young age, D-Pryde had so much ambition and determination with his music. I’d have to say all his hard work pays off in the end. He made this song because it dealt with a lot of his “tribulations” when he got his record deal. Also he feels like this was a huge accomplishment but it’s “Not Over” and there is more to come. One thing I like about this video is when he put a part of Demi Lovato’s song “Our Time is Here.” His lyrics we’re on point, it describes what he went through to get this record deal and how he’s being successful. Let’s see where D-Pryde ends up in the future. If you like the song, download it for free here!

Esther Lee Covers “At The Foot of The Cross” Originally by Kathryn Scott
One artists that not so out their yet in the YouTube world is Esther Lee aka “thatsestherly.” She’s 19 years old and her ethnicity is Korean. Also she was born and raised in California but now resides in NC. To me I think she’s really underrated, she sings very well and every cover I’ve heard from her, I was impressed. You can find her expressing her Love for God a lot in her videos, especially like this one. She has a very calm voice which I like about her. She has the beauty and singing talent but lets see if she sticks with this YouTube thing, hopefully it’s just not a hobby.
Clara C & Joseph Vincent – “Rhythm Of Love” (Cover)
One of my most favorite artists has come out with a new cover! Clara C covers “Rhythm of Love” with Joseph Vincent, originally by Plain White T’s. Clara always puts her own twist to her videos, that’s what I like most about her. The close up is something different from the usually regular cover. I’m sure Clara takes her music seriously but she always has fun with it. You hardly ever see her in a serious mood in her videos, she’s always smiling. Joseph Vincent’s vocals were on point as well as Clara’s. Their voices were a fit together. I think it’s hilarious when Joseph hops up and down at 1:34.
Jason Chen & Cathy Nguyen Covers “Perfect” by Pink
I’d have to say, this is one of the best covers I’ve heard. As he said before, he has come out with a lot of videos. He keeps working hard and shows how much he enjoys doing this. You could say Cathy has been under a rock for quite sometime now, I missed when she put out videos at a consistent rate. Cathy looking pretty as ever, did very well on the track. Surprisingly, Jason did well on this track as well. In my opinion, they were the 2 artists who could pull of this duet. Their vocals were pretty well matched.
JRA x Victor Kim x Chester See – “The Lazy Song” (Bruno Mars Cover)
Who’s feeling lazy today cause JR Aquino, Victor Kim, and Chester See are feeling “Lazy.” Actually their more in a singing mood then being lazy. This song has a great melody to it and they kept it that way. Also everyone had exceptional vocals, this is my first time hearing Chester sing and he did quite well from my point of view. Being in one location is very risky to shoot a “MV” but they got really creative with their environment. If you watch the whole video, you’ll be able to see different versions of the cover which is something new, at least for me. KevJumba shot and edited the video, nice work by him.
Dumbfoundead x Traphik x Jin – Charlie Sheen
Who would have thought these three rappers would have joined to make a video together? When I first heard they were collaborating together, I was really excited and didn’t know what to expect. At first, I thought they were going to be really serious with the video but I was totally wrong. It had a comedy style but the lyrics were still exceptional, I didn’t suspect any less from them. Another surprise is Jin coming out of the blue to work with DFD and Traphik. The beat was steady and enjoyable to listen too. Also I found it interesting that the rappers mention each other in their verses. DJ Zo’s cuts were on point, you can never be disappointed with his work. If you like the song, it will be available next week on iTunes!
Michelle Martinez Covers “Firework”
Oh my, not my favorite from Michelle Martinez. Usually she sings really well but this video had way to much editing with her voice. I like how she tried something new but I don’t think its working for her. There are some parts where you can actually hear her really singing but the editing didn’t make it sound right. I hope she comes out with another video soon to make up this one, I’m not saying she’s terrible or really bad. It’s just that I know she can do better, especially without the editing.
JR Aquino Releases An Original “Closure” (Live)
JR Aquino releases an original, I’d have to say I really like this song by him. Also to do this live really shows how great of an artist is. As JR said, this song isn’t the “happiest” of songs but it is real. I would like to see him make an MV out of this song. His vocals were suspected as usual but when he holds long music note at 2:58, that was impressive. One thing I’d love to see is JRA take his music career to another level, like make a MV. We’ll see in time but he leaves you with this original. You can get it off iTunes.
Megan Lee & Jason Chen Collab to Cover “Never Say Never”
Megan Lee back in the United States?! She was recently in Korea for a contest, its similar to American Idol here in America. Once she got back, she decided to collaborate with Jason Chen which in my opinion is a great idea, both of them are reaching for their dreams. They decided to cover the song “Never Say Never” by Justin Bieber. I’ll say this now, I’m not a huge fan of him but this song is one of the songs I enjoy. Megan & Jason vocally do really well, nothing to be disappointed by. One thing that surprised me was Jason rapping in the video. I have respect for him that he branched out his comfort zone. Also for his first time rapping, it wasn’t too bad. You can get their cover on iTunes!
Passion x Leejay x Ebrahim Covers “143″
I was hoping someone would come out with a Valentine’s Day video. Who better than Passion and his friends covering “143″ by Musiq Soulchild! I’ve said this before but Passion has an amazing voice. Ebrahim’s vocals were nice as well. As nice as the song would sound with just them two singing, I think Leejay’s beat-boxing was just perfect for the cover. Another thing I like about the video is that they end it on 1 minute and 43 seconds. It kinda throws you off guard since it ends in the middle of the song and makes you want more, in my opinion.
