I saw this recently over at Gumship and thought the image was too cool not to share. The illustration is by Jaeil Cho, and depicts four prominent Asian-American artists at a table – namely Rekstizzy, Decipher, Lyricks, and Dumbfoundead. Most have shared track time with each other in various guest collaborative combinations, but this image captures them in a way that no photo could. Props to Jaeil and his creative talent.

Snapshot: Jane Lui, Then vs Now
Many of us may cringe at the thought of our childhood selves. Me personally, I think I had the opposite trajectory – I was a pretty boss kid but my “coolness” peaked in 8th grade. It’s been downhill since. As dorky or cool as we remember ourselves to be, it’s nice to look back on days long past and reminisce about the simpler times. Jane Lui took that trip down memory and shared this gem of a photo online. I wonder if childhood Jane would know she would grow into the awesome and extremely creative Jane that we have today?
Snapshot: AI’s Heejun Han x Jessica Sanchez
Heejun Han may no longer be in the running to be your next American Idol, but it’s certain that he’s cultivated many friendships along the way. Here is one such example, a phone pic of himself and still-current-contestant Jessica Sanchez. We still have high hopes for the Ms Sanchez, and regardless of where there paths take each of them from here, we hope that they intersect again after this year’s AI train makes it’s last stop.
Snapshot: Cathy Nguyen Shows Off the Size of Her Guns
Recently, Cathy Nguyen showed off this fun/silly picture of her impressive muscles. Who would have known the tiny starlet was packing such heat!? Displaying her own guns at the gun range – nothing wrong with that. Someone should cast her in a perfect push-up ad or other exercise infomercial. #LilCDawgBeastMode
Snapshot: David So, Clara C, Jayesslee, Cathy Nguyen, New Heights, Joseph Vincent Group Photo
As much as I like the East Coast, sometimes I have to admit that the West is wear a lot of great moments happen. Like the above group shot where a lot of favorite artists of yours and mine all crossed paths at a recent event, bringing together so many people under one roof. I think we’ll look back at times like these and recognize that it was the community that empowered our artists to find an international platform. We can only hope this is the beginning for the likes of David So, Clara Chung, Jayesslee, Cathy Nguyen, Travis & New Heights, and Joseph Vincent.
Snapshot: A Big Kaile Goh Smile
Here on the East coast, we’re just getting our first taste of fantastic weather this year, as Winter starts to wind down and we transition into Spring and Summer. That being said, it’s still not as nearly sunny as this photo of Kaile Goh that was posted to her Facebook some time ago. The young rock singer has such a bright smile, so that combined with the exposure of the photo evoke the not-too-distant days of pool parties, BBQs and driving with the windows down. Can’t wait!
Snapshot: Meg & Dia Potter
OK, by now it should be no secret that I, GT, am a big Dia (and Meg!) Frampton fan. But, partial opinions aside, you can’t tell me this isn’t a cute picture of the sisters known as Meg & Dia. They’ve been busy on tour recently, but found some time to goof off in guise of a very famous wizard. Glad they can have a little fun despite the hectic schedule of being on the road! I guess you could say that this was a … *puts on shades* magical moment. (yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!)
Snapshot: Sonia (of Jayesslee) & Andy’s Engagement Shoot
If you heard the simultaneous groan of men all across the world last week, it was likely due to the announcement that one half of the Youtube darling sisters known as Jayesslee is now engaged. That’s right folks, the “Ess” (Sonia) is now ready to get hitched to her beau Andy – and for those willing to share in her happiness you can now view a number of pictures from their engagement session by Jenny Sun! There’s even a video montage that you can check out below. Be sure to view the many other fantastic pictures at Jenny Sun’s blog! We wish the two of them nothing but the best, congrats!
Snapshot: BoA x Arden Cho
It’s already been a few years since BoA‘s non-start in the US music industry. And while she carries the crown as one of the biggest names in contemporary Asian Pop music, she failed to make the desired impact in the Western Market. That being said, we’re glad to see her keeping good company, with this picture tweeted a few months back by her friend Arden Cho. This isn’t a fan-pic, it’s one of friendship – and we can only wish both Arden and BoA many more of both, fans and friends, as the years pass.
Snapshot: Eunice Kiss x JK Films
Whether or not you’re a fan of JK Films brand of comedy, you have to give them props for willing to go all out for their videos. They’ve frequently collabed with stars from all over the entertainment realm and it … Continue reading
