Like always, the following clip is  a highlight of interview session. If you want to hear it through to completion (in it’s 22 minute glory)  then go ahead and check it out via iTunes or Soundcloud.

The world famous DJ Qbert has been honored by DJ Times & Pioneer with the America’s Best DJ 2010 Award. I don’t think anyone can deny this man’s influence over the industry and advancement of the art of DJing. This award is definitely deserved and a long time coming. DJ Qbert opens online school

Legendary DJ Qbert is opening the very first video based online DJ school. He is calling it QSU aka Q-Bert Skratch University. In a statement Qbert said

“It’s cool that scratching has so many fans around the world and we can all be in one place now and learn from each other no matter where we live”

The website will have the students upload their videos of their practice sessions for Qbert to review and critque.

An interesting concept from a true innovator of the art. Will it succeed? I suppose only time will tell.
