Music is a powerful tool as any for expression, and what better aspect of life to express than one’s faith? That’s what the following group of musicians decided to do, covering songs by Vineyard, Shane & Shane, Laura Story, Hillsong and more. Jeremy Passion, Cathy Nguyen, Jayesslee, Arden Cho, Esther Lee and Erin Kim use the gifts they were blessed with to bless others. The first two clips in particular have fantastic harmonies.

Comedian/Singer David So is kicking off a new Youtube series called Heart to Heart, where he accosts interviews some of his fellow Youtube stars. In the first episode, he sits down with the sisterly duo affectionately known as Jayesslee. It’s definitely more of a comedy short than an actual interview session – so don’t expect to learn much but I have to admit – it’s wildly entertaining.
David:Feel this right here, what’s this made of?

Tonight, we decided to go with a more feminine direction, and rounded up an all-female ensemble of videos that features the classic 6-string. Everything from a song from AMC’s Mad Men to Bon Iver to Bob Dylan to Britney Spears is represented by these lovely ladies. I’ve heard some say they find it very attractive when a girl can play the guitar, if that be you, then you’ll surely enjoy this bunch.
It’s early Thursday here on the East, but it seemed just as good a time as any for another round-up batch. Today’s common denominator is that all of these videos are performance clips. Now that does’t necessarily mean each of these was shot in front of an audience, although some were; rather it simply means there is no lip-sync involved. The audios are comprised of a single take, though some of the the video footage is via multi-camera set-ups. That being said, you have an assortment of performance stages ranging from a bedroom to a full-scale live audience. Just for good measure, we’ve thrown in a clip that blew us away from a Korean singing competition. Check it out at the end, you won’t regret it!

As much as I like the East Coast, sometimes I have to admit that the West is wear a lot of great moments happen. Like the above group shot where a lot of favorite artists of yours and mine all crossed paths at a recent event, bringing together so many people under one roof. I think we’ll look back at timeslikethese and recognize that it was the community that empowered our artists to find an international platform. We can only hope this is the beginning for the likes of David So, Clara Chung, Jayesslee, Cathy Nguyen, Travis & New Heights, and Joseph Vincent.
If you heard the simultaneous groan of men all across the world last week, it was likely due to the announcement that one half of the Youtube darling sisters known as Jayesslee is now engaged. That’s right folks, the “Ess” (Sonia) is now ready to get hitched to her beau Andy – and for those willing to share in her happiness you can now view a number of pictures from their engagement session by Jenny Sun! There’s even a video montage that you can check out below. Be sure to view the many other fantastic pictures at Jenny Sun’s blog! We wish the two of them nothing but the best, congrats!
When you put a bunch of talented artists in a room with instruments and a camera, the inevitable Youtube jam session is going to occur. That’s the binding theme among today’s round-up, with all the covers being mostly raw footage of artists and their friends (and sometimes family) singing their hearts out to their favorite songs of the moment. How’s an even dozen sound to you? It’s a lot? Well you better get started!
The great folks at the Jubilee Project always tends to put together great videos, focusing on amazing themes and causes. Their latest project puts some of our favorite artists and Youtube stars on the spot, asking them what is important to them and what they would like to see change and happen in this world. There is a ton of talent in this clip, and it encourages you to join the conversation – perhaps in the hope that once we talk about it, we just might be able to take the next step and do something about it.
For the new year, The Jubilee Project took some time to interview some YT friends about the changes that they would like to see in the world. We really believe that life is a gift and ordinary people can do extraordinary things. We hope that this video encourages you to live life to the fullest this year and be the change you want to see in the world.
Twitter us @jubileeproject with your responses #BetheChange – What is one thing you’d like to see changed in the world? What is one organization/cause you feel strongly about? What would you do if you had one last day to live?
Special thanks to BU CSA Takeout and all of the YT stars that took part in this video.
