In July of last year, we shared with you a documentary that was in the works called Uploaded: The Asian American Movement. Now, all these months later, the film is complete and ready for it’s premiere at the Los Angeles Pan Asian Pacific Film Festival. You can now view the trailer, which gives us a look at all the interviews and the overlying focus of this film – a movement that is near and dear to our hearts at a-Tunes. Jeremy Passion Releases Debut LP – For More Than a Feeling – and the Pixelated EP

Jeremy Passion has (finally) released his debut album, For More Than a Feeling, along with the concept EP, Pixelated. The former is his first full length body of work, totaling 11 tracks including a re-tooled version of his claim to fame, “Lemonade”. We are officially only a few days away from the release of Jesse Barrera’s EP – You’ll Feel Alive. JB is keeping interest high by steadily leaking the album versions of the tracks on Youtube with the latest being his song “Anything to Make This Last”. You should know what to expect from Jesse by now; a good balance of Pop and Rock wrapped in a catchy package – this song continues that streak.

So the East Coast, mid-Atlantic folks such as myself have Kollaboration DC to look forward to this weekend but you SoCal folks near the Pacific definitely won’t be in want either. San Diego will be the home to a mega concert festival where the San Diego Asian Music Festival will see it’s official launch including a gigantic line-up of artists. The billing includes Jesse Barrera, Jennifer Chung, Dawen, Feats in Inches, Sam Kang, Abraham Lim, Jane Lui, Nylon Pink, Shin-B, The Slants, Toestah, Lindsey Yung and so much more. So if you’re anywhere near “America’s Finest City”, I suggest you make plans to stop by Market Creek Plaza for an entire day of awesome music entertainment. Jesse Barrera Reveals a “Magic” AJ Rafael Remix

As the producer for AJ Rafael‘s debut album Red Roses, Jesse Barrera has a lot of vocals and music at his disposal. So for fun he took one of his favorites from the album – “Emma Watson” – and turned it into a pop dance track he’s rechristened “Magic”. It’s a totally different sound from the original but you know what? I kinda dig it. What do you guys think?
