Roscoe Umali Features on E-40′s “Makin Money”

West Coast veteran E-40 has got a new track out called “Makin Money” and he’s brought on a number of artists for the feature, including the one and only Roscoe Umali. He joins Network & MIMS for this signature bay-area song. It’s pretty impressive how versatile Roscoe is … he seems to be able to spit on any type of track. But don’t expect to hear a whole lot of Umali on this track, since his drop was pretty short.

Roscoe Umali Featured on Remix of Stacee Adamz’s “Slow Down”

It’s been a while since we’ve heard an official single from Mr. Umali but he definitely hasn’t lost his work ethic. His latest drop is a feature on a remix to a track by fellow California MC Stacee Adamz called ‘Slow Down’. It’s a simple two verse with a hook song but I’m sure you mixtape heads will love this one. It only makes me want to hear a proper song from Roscoe though. You can DL the song HERE.

Jin Drops Tribute Song to Asian MC’s – ‘The A-List’

Jin, arguably the most well-known Asian-American MC, decided to drop a track in tribute of all the Asian MC’s he respects that are doing their thing right now. This song is in response to a list that was published by a blogger on their top 10 Greatest Asian MC’s list, where Jin made the cut at #1. It’s encouraging to see Jin give a nod to his fellow colleagues, or as his once famously said in a Freestyle battle “cause Game recognize game”. He spits over the instrumental to Drake’s “It’s Over”.

Here’s the complete list of rapper’s he shouted out on the track. Ill.

Roscoe Umali Cameo In New Kurupt MV

Roscoe Umali recently had a cameo feature in the MV for Kurupt’s comeback single with Xzibit. The song is titled ‘In Gotti We Trust’, and even though Roscoe’s appearance is very brief it just speaks to how well respected/connected the man is in the West Coast hip-hop scene. Props to Mr. Umali for being able to work with a couple veterans of the west.

Roscoe Umali Drop’s New Remix Track for DL – ‘Same Something’

I’m sure many of you are familiar with the Timbaland x Drake collab track ‘Say Something’, well Roscoe decided to jump on the beat and spit a verse too. If you guys don’t follow the dude on twitter you should cause he drops gems like these all the time for free download. Roscoe always commands the mic, even though this isnt an official track or anything it’s still a great listen.

Roscoe Umali x Styliztik Jones Release ‘New Truth’

Roscoe Umali just dropped a new track for free download entitled New Truth. You can check out the song below.

“The Freshest Filipino” decided to return to the laid-back west coast beats for this single similar to his past single ‘Live It Up‘. It’s always great to hear new music from him and this is a pretty decent track. I don’t think we’ve heard much from him since he dropped “Never Fallin‘” last summer.

Thai Ngo, IZreal, Drew Deezy & Nump Trump Form 454 Life Entertainment

It looks like a collection of west coast MC’s have joined forces and formed a new indie label caled 454 Life Entertainment. The entourage consists of Thai Ngo, IZreal, Drew Deezy & Nump Trump. One of the most exciting things about this effort is that they encompass a wide range of API backgrounds, all with a common goal. Or as Nump Trump put it:

“Asian and Islanders united!? The industry’s in trouble.”

It’s going to be interesting to see how this group develops. I’m not sure exactly how much wide spread mass appeal they have, but tackling the game together will hopefully unite their fan bases and start a movement of shared support.

You can check out a couple of their first singles after the break.

Tiger JK, Tasha, Roscoe Umali Send Video Messages to Fans

For a long time now there has been a website for Drunken Tiger fans called drunkencamp.com. Updated started to get sporadic as time went on so I started checking on it less and less but I discovered today that they have relaunched as a blog!

The owner of the site has been able to follow DT & the Movement camp’s activities in Korea and has captured a video messages of Tiger JK, Tasha, Roscoe Umali, Rakaa, and producer TechBeatz while they were all in Korea recently.

The videos are admittedly a couple months old but I doubt many of you have seen this. It’s good to hear them showing love to their fans all around the world.

WTF: Music Stimulus Package

Everyone loves free music. Whether or not it helps or hurts an artist is an entirely different discussion entirely. But when the artist offers the music up for free, who can argue with that!? For This Week’s Thursday Freebie I’ve gone through our archives and have posted up many of the songs, albums & mixtapes that artists have posted up throughout 2009. Some links take you to file hosting sites, some can be downloaded straight from the link, since I didn’t originally post up the links I have no control over the delivery medium =P.

These were officially released for free by the artists themselves, so if you’re a fan BP & Odds, Decipher, Dumbfoundead, EyeAsage, Jimmy Boi, Johnnyphlo, J. Reyez, Kato, Lyrics Born, Magnetic North, Taiyo Na, Conchita Campos, Paul Dateh, Roscoe Umali, Sci, Shogunna, or Triangle Offense and missed any of these releases than by all means help yourself!

Note, some of these tracks can also be found on the a-Tunes Mix Vol: 1, which is not an official release.

Links after the jump. Enjoy!
