Sam Kang’s New Song is “Coffee to Me”

With “Coffee to Me”, Sam Kang offers a sweet and sentimental song about an earnest and innocent attraction. Sam’s recently found some larger exposure after his song with TC (“Kiss“) was featured in a Wong Fu short and the release of his stop-motion MV. Hopefully this trend will perpetuate with easy listening releases like this one. You can also DL the song, here, for free.

Sam Kang Presents the MV for “Love Drama”

After seeing the promising trailer for Sam Kang‘s “Love Drama” music video, I had high hopes for the final product. Thankfully, everything came together in a well done clip that makes extensive use of stop-motion animation (3000 photos!). It’s a charming, creatively constructed visual featuring Jennifer Field as the leading lady. You can also download this song as a freebie, here.

Sam Kang Teases for “Love Drama” MV – Due 5/1

Ooh, I’m looking forward to this one. Although we’ve seen a fair amount of Sam Kang recently with his side stint in TC & The Geunj, but it’s been quite some time since we’ve seen or heard any new solo material. “Love Drama” looks to rectify that with a video release slated for May 1st – just a week and change away. What makes it particularly interesting to me is their novel use of stop-motion animation in the video, bringing us a potentially refreshing spin for the visual.

TC & The Geunj Present “Mangos & Oranges”

Sam Geunjin Kang and TC return with a new original called “Mangos & Oranges” – a song supposedly inspired by a hike they took together. It’s a bubbly, catchy acoustic song but at this point I think I’m over the whole over-talkative, non-sensical schtick that they are so fond of using for introducing their material.

Sam Geunjin Kang & TC Present “Kiss”

TC & Sam Geunjin Kang continue to put out music under the ‘TC & The Geunj’ alias, and I can’t really complain as the two make a pretty decent team with their voices complementing one another well. In light of today, they have released an official single, “Kiss”, a sweet song that plays to both of their musical strengths. Take a listen/watch below and perhaps purchase the track in honor of a special someone – even if that “someone” is yourself.

The Throwback Covers Youtube Round-Up

Hello again. Today we have batch of throwback covers for your listening/viewing enjoyment courtesy of our artists and their Youtube accounts. Now, when we say throwback we mean songs that have to be well over a decade old. So anything pre-2000 goes, definitely nothing newer. Now, it’s be expected that some will appreciate some songs more than others, with the term classic meaning different things to different people. The biggest caveat, however, is that most of these covers can’t compare to the originals… but regardless, peruse through the bunch and check out your favorites below!

Geunjin & TC Sing “Take My Eyes From You”

Geunjin makes a return from relative silence with this new tune called “Take My Eyes From You”, a duet with TC. I don’t believe I’ve heard the lass before, but she offers a warm companion vocal to Geunjin’s unpolished but personable voice. I’d definitely be interested in hearing a studio version of this track, let’s hope it finds a release in the near future.

Don’t Miss This Performance of ‘Home:Word’ Songs by Magnetic North, Taiyo Na, Vudoo Soul, Sam Kang, Alfa & More

These are honetly my favorite type of clips. Energetic, passionate, and infectious performances by artists that relish each other’s company as much as they do their art. Mag North & Taiyo have released the following clip of them on stage performing tracks from their Home:Word release. Vudoo, Sam Kang, and Alfa Garcia joined them, rounded out by the Home:Word House band – giving a great performance that I’m jealous for not being able to catch live back in April.
