Dumbfoundead x Map the Soul Offer Free Song DL

Check it out as dumb name drops nearly all the entire map the soul crew. This is a continuation of a project Epik High announced last month where they release free music for all us cheapskates. You can get the track here.
Gotta love it, and also you may have noticed dumb leaves a warning that he’s coming for Korea 2010. Not to mention I just saw this tweet this morning from Tiger JK himself:
@dumbfoundead , yo , gotta hit me up , gotta do something
This is crazy… will dumb become a part of the Movement?
Tiger JK, Tasha, Roscoe Umali Send Video Messages to Fans
For a long time now there has been a website for Drunken Tiger fans called drunkencamp.com. Updated started to get sporadic as time went on so I started checking on it less and less but I discovered today that they have relaunched as a blog!
The owner of the site has been able to follow DT & the Movement camp’s activities in Korea and has captured a video messages of Tiger JK, Tasha, Roscoe Umali, Rakaa, and producer TechBeatz while they were all in Korea recently.
The videos are admittedly a couple months old but I doubt many of you have seen this. It’s good to hear them showing love to their fans all around the world.
Drunken Tiger is Soompi’s Artist of the Week

Drunken Tiger aka Tiger JK, the Californian MC who became one of the leaders of the Korean Hip Hop movement in the 90′s, is currently being featured as Soompi’s Artist of the Week. As a bonus, you can also check ARW for a recent english interview he had with Arirang.
“Its the D to the R U Drunken? to the T to the I G We R” =)
dumbfoundead x Korean Hip-Hop
It’s official, after much speculation it’s confirmed that dumbfoundead is definitely working and talking with some of Korean Hip-Hop’s biggest players.
dumb shouts out the quiett, Drunken Tiger, Epik High, and the whole Movement Crew before going into a verse over a beat produced by the quiett with DJ Zo on the tables.
My mind is officially blown. I love it when things go international!
I guess this is what happens when you open for one of Korea’s biggest music groups huh? Can’t wait to see what the future holds.
WTF: Drunken Tiger – The Legend Of …
Today, on a very special Weekly Thursday Freebie…

Recent events have led me to be nostalgic for the glory days of Drunken Tiger. Their third album, ‘The Legend Of…’, released in 2001 marked a new era for the group as they suddenly found themselves accepted widely by mainstream Korea. This album also heavily featured collaborations between other Asian American artists such as DJ James Jhig, Micki Eyes and Roscoe Umali (who handled much of the production) along with continued work with Bobby Kim and Tasha.
This album still remains one of my favorites to this day. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.
Track list and link after the break.
News Quickies 4-13-09 Edition
So I hate resorting to the quickies but I’m tired and want to get some stuff out there soooo
- ChannelAPA reports on WongFu & David Choi teaming up for DC’s first music video for his single ‘Wont Even Start’. Their vlog video teaser is actually hilarious in a very toungue in cheek, dry type of way.
- EXP recently posted two myspace bulletins hinting that a couple of UFC fighters are considering using his music for their entrances. An unexpected but great thing to hear for the Movement crew MC.
- Marie Digby has posted some bad news and good news on her myspace. First, her upcoming album ‘Breathing Underwater’ has been leaked online. Secondly, her lead single ‘Avalanche’ will be playing on tonight’s episode of ‘The Hills’.
- AAM reports that under-the-radar acoustic artist Kevin So has just released a new album entitled ‘Best Foot Forward’. Kevin’s been in the game forever and deserves some limelight.
- AllKPOP has an update on Yoo Seung Jun’s jump to the silver screen.
- YG’s cash cows Big Bang and newbie group 2NE1 has been featured on Perez’s website with their single ‘Lollipop’ as he continues to dive into KPOP fandom. I gotta admit, it’s stupidly catchy.
Bobby Kim is Soompi’s Artist of the Week

Bobby Kim, veteran member of the movement, and versatile korean music artist has been featured as Soompi’s Artist of the week.
I’ve been a fan of Bobby Kim for a long time now, glad to see him getting just a little bit more exposure.
WTF? Paris Hilton is a TBNY Fan?

Apparently Paris is down with TBNY. Yea, random. Read all about it at AllKPop.
Movement 4 Released!!!

The Movement Crew, Korea’s elite Hip-Hop collection has finally released the fourth version of their respected series of collaborations. This one seemed to pass under the radar as it was released on Bizzy’s debut album. Bizzy is one of the newer members of the movement crew and hasn’t fully established himself beyond his usual role as Tiger JK’s hypeman/DJ Shine replacement so its really no surprise this track hasn’t received more recognition.
This fourth release includes: Sean2Slow, Mithra Jin (Epik High), Eun Jin Won, Tiger JK, Bizzy, Double K, Dok2, Bobby Kim (Buga Kingz), Tasha, Choiza(Dynamic Duo), Gary (LeeSsang), Tablo (Epik High), Juvie Train (Buga Kingz), Gan-D (Buga Kingz), TopBob(TBNY), Yankie (TBNY), Gaeko (Dynamic Duo)
MP3′s and more after the jump!
