David Choi x Paul Dateh x Victor Kim Work with Wong Fu on a New Series
OK, stay with me folks because there’s a lot of information to tell here. What do David Choi, Paul Dateh and Victor Kim have to do with Wong Fu? Well, the former two are helping score a new series by the video production outfit, and Victor is one of the main stars (along with Jen) of the story. What makes this particularly intriguing is the story isn’t written yet – at least not fully. Remember those choose your own adventure stories from when you were a kid? Well WF is taking that premise, and using audience participation to help dictate where the narrative will go. Oh, and this is sponsored by AT&T… so it’s kind of a big deal. The next 6 weeks are going to be jam packed for everyone involved, but I personally can’t wait to see how it all turns out!
“Away We Happened” is a new and unique web series where you help decide what happens! Wong Fu Productions (Wes, Ted, and Phil) has teamed up with AT&T and their friends Victor Kim and Jen FrmHeadToToe for this one of a kind project starting May 21st!

afterschoolspecial x The Dreamlapse Project Debut MV for “Dreamers”
Now this is a pretty cool watch. Sometimes good things take time to come to fruition. Such is the case with the music video to “Dreamers” from afterschoolspecial‘s album, It’s All In Your Head. For this music video, they enlisted the new “it” team of the moment, The Dreamlapse Project to create a fun visual in the first person format a la Prodigy. And to help with the project, they’ve gotten everyone to make a cameo and join along for the ride. When I say everyone, I mean everyone. Check out the notes after the video below for the complete list of talent as well as a link to the BTS post.

Thanks so much to Daniel and Scott from The Dreamlapse Project for partnering up on this music video. We first started talking about this project almost a year ago, and to see it finally come together with the finished project is a beautiful thing. They really went above and beyond to get this video done so high five to them. Also a HUGE thanks to everyone who made a cameo in the video. Thanks for giving of your time to take part in what i see as such a community collaboration. Inspiring. Cathy Nguyen, Aj Rafael, David Choi, Jason Chen, Jennifer Chung, Joseph Vincent, Toestah, Arika Sato, Kevin Lien, Dawen, Paul Dateh, Andi Terada, Geo and Chuck of Instant Noodles Crew, Wong Fu Productions, and Ryan Higa. Another important note is this video is that NONE of this would be possible without the backing and work of afterschoolspecial who need their due credit- Jaylen Green, Keane Aranita, Todd Olson, Brian Figueroa, and Victor Velasquez.
Just ‘Cause: The Jubilee Project Presents “Be the Change”
The great folks at the Jubilee Project always tends to put together great videos, focusing on amazing themes and causes. Their latest project puts some of our favorite artists and Youtube stars on the spot, asking them what is important to them and what they would like to see change and happen in this world. There is a ton of talent in this clip, and it encourages you to join the conversation – perhaps in the hope that once we talk about it, we just might be able to take the next step and do something about it.
For the new year, The Jubilee Project took some time to interview some YT friends about the changes that they would like to see in the world. We really believe that life is a gift and ordinary people can do extraordinary things. We hope that this video encourages you to live life to the fullest this year and be the change you want to see in the world.
Twitter us @jubileeproject with your responses #BetheChange – What is one thing you’d like to see changed in the world? What is one organization/cause you feel strongly about? What would you do if you had one last day to live?
Special thanks to BU CSA Takeout and all of the YT stars that took part in this video.

Magnetic North x Taiyo Na x Wong Fu Release the “Home:Word” MV
If you’ve been awaiting the long overdue reunion of Magnetic North & Wong Fu Productions, then you should be elated to hear that they have returned with a new music video for Mag North’s collaborative single with Taiyo Na, ”Home:Word”, their title track from their album also featuring Sam Kang. The song has a great message that hits home, and I’m sure a lot of you readers will be albe to relate too. Be sure to check out the commentary and behind the scenes information over at Wong Fu’s site too. Call me a sap but this is easily one of my favorite MVs of the year.
Like the mother and daughter, we all have those moments where we neglect our parents, too busy living our own life, we often forget that on the other side our parents are working hard and have struggled to give us as good a life as they can.
Like the son, pressures from school can be the biggest struggle for young people. While it’s important, sometimes stepping away to find that true peace keeps us going. Whether it’s in art and photography, making videos, singing, dancing, or even video games with friends.
Like the father, jobs and financial worries can bring us down. Especially in these tough times, when so much is uncertain, the greatest gift we have is knowing that there is one constant, family.
Magnetic North x Taiyo Na to Drop MV for “Home:Word” ft Sam Kang & Directed by Wong Fu
It’s been years since Wong Fu first started to produce official music videos for artists, but things seem to be coming back around full circle as they are linking up with Magnetic North once again for the “Home:Word” visual with Taiyo Na & Sam Kang. Mag North & Wong Fu previously linked up for “Drift Away” about half a decade ago, and both teams have only grown in their respective crafts so I can’t wait to see the final cut of the visual to the title track from last year’s album. Look for the video to drop December 7th
It’s the holiday season, and what better time to be reminded of what’s most important in our lives. Not our job, our finals, or material things…but family, home, peace.
We’re proud to be releasing our latest music video on December 7th. “Home: Word” by Magnetic North and Taiyo Na ft. Sam Kang. We shot it at the beginning of this month in New York City (or first time shooting there), and you may already know our history with Magnetic North, so this is a very special project to us. Not our typical boy/girl stories, but still just as meaningful and often unsaid.
Passport: Wang Leehom Releases the WongFu Directed MV for “Still In Love With You”
At the start of September we informed you that WongFu Productions were heading overseas to film the MV for international pop star Wang Leehom. Well, the completed product for the single “Still In Love With You” has been revealed and it turned out beautifully if I do say so myself. Clean, sharp visuals coupled with good pacing and editing make for a fitting visual to the mid-tempo ballad. Great job WongFu!
