Prometheus Brown & Bambu Feature On La’s “Diamonds”

It’s yet another collab with Pro & Bam on a track together, only both of them are filling in guest spots for the song “Diamonds” from La’s new album Sealab 2012. La aka Language Arts is another Seattle artist who is perhaps best known for his battle skills. He’s put together a strong track and did well by getting Geo & Bambu to drop a verse too. I’m diggin’ the soul sample too.

Watch Bambu Perform “Just(Us)” and “Iron Bam” in Seattle

Take a look at this dope performance clip of Bam doin his thing while touring with the Blue Scholars at their stop in Seattle. He spits a little something new and old via “Just(Us)” and “Iron Bam“. It’s crazy how hyped up that audience is! Other MCs need to take note cause that’s how you flippin move a crowd. Audio gets a little distorted at times but it’s still a very watchable clip.

Bambu & The Diamond Supply Co Presents “The Streets”

LA’s Bam is teaming up with apparel brand The Diamond Supply Co to bring you a limited edition shirt & snapback. In promotion of this cross-branding event they’ve brought you a new clean visual for a little something called “The Streets”. Not much to say except it’s classic Bam representing a classic brand in classic LA. The clothing package will include an EP by rising producer 6 Fingers (who literally seems to have a… er.. finger… in everything).

Bambu Debuts the “Fish” MV

Bambu had previously dropped a promo MV for the song “Fish”, a track originally written in conjunction with the Frank151 publication dedicated to the Philippines but has now evolved into something bigger. Taking a more abstract, conceptual route, Bam teamed up with Estevan Oriol to bring us this MV – following the path of a fish from Venice Beach to the dinner table.

Fish. The newest video from Bambu finds him in front of Los Angeles’ infamous photographer Estevan Oriol! Fish was originally recorded and released in conjunction with Frank 151’s Chapter 45 on the Philippines (fish being one of the countries main sources of food), in which Estevan and Bambu collaborated for and has now transformed into a larger visual piece. Taking place on Venice Beach’s pier, we watch the journey of the fish from its contaminated habitat in Los Angeles, to a Pilipino seafood market in Historic Filipinotown and finally to the table of Bambu’s family. Fish.

Stop Me If You’ve Heard This Before; Prometheus Brown & Bambu Walk into a Bar …

Last week we shared with you the lead single off the joint album Walk into a Bar by Prometheus (Geo of the Blue Scholars) and Bambu – “At it Again“. Well, the full album is now available in it’s entirety via bandcamp (check the widget below). It’s a 10 track release that the duo recorded while in Hawaii earlier this year. They’ve proven to be a formidable tag-team in the past and everything indicates that this is another quality release. Pick it up and revive that Hip-Hop playlist of yours.

Bambu Shows “Just(Us)” with DJ Phatrick and is “At It Again” with Prometheus Brown [Free DLs]

Here’s a pair of drops from LA’s Bambu. First up is a track called “Just(Us) with his long time DJ & former Native Guns fam, DJ Phatrick. The MC starts things off slow before kicking things into high gear and jumping into his double time style all over a minimalist beat with an effective vocal sample. Grab that song for free here.

The next cut is a single off Bam & Prometheus Brown’s (aka Geo of Blue Scholars) project album Walk into a Bar, recently recorded by the duo while in Hawaii. It’s appropriately titled “At It Again” as this isn’t the first effort from the unofficial team. They’ve proven to be an effective pair in the past. You can pick this one up from DJBooth as a freebie too but look out for the album to drop July 6th.

[Single Release/Video] Bambu – “Fish” [Free DL]

To commemorate the latest Frank151 publication dedicated to the Philippines, Bam has leaked a new joint called “Fish”. It’s a hard hitting track done in Bambu’s signature style, with a heavy emphasis on the many social and humanistic obstacles that the people face. There’s an accompanying promo video that you can catch below, and if you’re feeling the song, it’s a free DL courtesy of 2DB.

[Single Release] Bambu – “America” [Free DL]

Bambu has just leaked a single from his recently released bonus EP Short Changed. The song’s called “America” and is an honest look at his experiences with the military and the inner conflict that arose from it. The song is yet another dope track from Bam and a strong advocate for why you should pick up the album now. If not, at least grab the song since it’s a free DL.
