WTF: Drunken Tiger – The Legend Of …

Today, on a very special Weekly Thursday Freebie…

Recent events have led me to be nostalgic for the glory days of Drunken Tiger. Their third album, ‘The Legend Of…’, released in 2001 marked a new era for the group as they suddenly found themselves accepted widely by mainstream Korea. This album also heavily featured collaborations between other Asian American artists such as DJ James Jhig, Micki Eyes and Roscoe Umali (who handled much of the production) along with continued work with Bobby Kim and Tasha.

This album still remains one of my favorites to this day. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.

Movement 4 Released!!!

The Movement Crew, Korea’s elite Hip-Hop collection has finally released the fourth version of their respected series of collaborations. This one seemed to pass under the radar as it was released on Bizzy’s debut album. Bizzy is one of the newer members of the movement crew and hasn’t fully established himself beyond his usual role as Tiger JK’s hypeman/DJ Shine replacement so its really no surprise this track hasn’t received more recognition.

This fourth release includes: Sean2Slow, Mithra Jin (Epik High), Eun Jin Won, Tiger JK, Bizzy, Double K, Dok2, Bobby Kim (Buga Kingz), Tasha, Choiza(Dynamic Duo), Gary (LeeSsang), Tablo (Epik High), Juvie Train (Buga Kingz), Gan-D (Buga Kingz), TopBob(TBNY), Yankie (TBNY), Gaeko (Dynamic Duo)

MP3′s and more after the jump!

As the culture and music rose to the forefront of the public eye, the DaeHanMinGuk series of hip-hop compilation albums launched and showcased many acts still in the industry today.
