WTF: Music Stimulus Package

Everyone loves free music. Whether or not it helps or hurts an artist is an entirely different discussion entirely. But when the artist offers the music up for free, who can argue with that!? For This Week’s Thursday Freebie I’ve gone through our archives and have posted up many of the songs, albums & mixtapes that artists have posted up throughout 2009. Some links take you to file hosting sites, some can be downloaded straight from the link, since I didn’t originally post up the links I have no control over the delivery medium =P.

These were officially released for free by the artists themselves, so if you’re a fan BP & Odds, Decipher, Dumbfoundead, EyeAsage, Jimmy Boi, Johnnyphlo, J. Reyez, Kato, Lyrics Born, Magnetic North, Taiyo Na, Conchita Campos, Paul Dateh, Roscoe Umali, Sci, Shogunna, or Triangle Offense and missed any of these releases than by all means help yourself!

Note, some of these tracks can also be found on the a-Tunes Mix Vol: 1, which is not an official release.

BP & Odds Release New Single ‘Ultra Magnetics’

BP & Odds released a new single off their upcming album ‘The Medium’. It’s entitled ‘Ultra Magnetics’. It’s a little abstract at first but eventually grew on me. If you’re interested you can grab both the song and the instrumental from their website.

BP & Odds Post Live Perf Video of ‘The Gift’

Hip Hop duo BP & Odds have shared a recent live performance of their song ‘The Gift’, from their upcoming album ‘The Medium’ due out next week.

This ain’t your meanstream top 40 hip-hop, but if you got love for the underground boom bap, then definitely take a second to check this one out. Also, they tweeted that they are shooting their MV for the track ‘Ultra Magnetics’ this weekend.

Man I miss the jupitersciples.

As a precursor to their upcoming album ’The Medium’, BP & Odds will release a free mixtape entitled ‘The Premium’.

stay tuned for THE PREMIUM (Pre-Medium) MIXTAPE. buttonpusha is on the mix with joints that relate to THE MEDIUM, oddsequence spits two verses, and of course, we’re GIVING yall exclusive sneak peaks at 2 songs off THE MEDIUM album. since THE MEDIUM’s mastering is scheduled with Illnaughty (Fanbass Recordings) for the 15th, yall can expect THE PREMIUM (Pre-Medium) MIXTAPE later this month.

New BP & Odds Album Announced

Underground Hip-Hop group BP&Odds will be dropping a new album in the near future entitled ‘The Medium’. Check their announcement from the website:

At 11 PM last night, we completed all the vocal recordings for “THE MEDIUM” album. We began recording this album shortly after the release of “the HI’S AND LO’S EP” which is still available (right here on this blog). I’m feeling pretty accomplished for getting the lyrics finished, and I gotta mention this new album is HEAT. We haven’t revealed anything yet, but we plan on hitting yall with a mixtape with a few exclusive sneak-listens at some cuts off the joint… I’m sure yall have seen this digital flyer floating around…

So stay tuned for the blogs, vlogs, and exclusives…

BP & Odds is a group spun off of YBB which was spun off of from the famed underground crew Jupitersciples. It is comprised of Buttonpusha and Oddsequence . They just released an EP called “the HI’S and LO’S” so make sure you pick up a copy.
