BellyOut Presents the “The Introduction” by Visual Audio (C-Note x J. Shep)

The BellyOut crew is preparing an album under the moniker of Visual Audio (C-Note & J. Shep), and the following is “The Introduction” to the newly christened collective, featuring long time BellyOut affiliate, Lyricks. This is more of the fundamental, raw style of Hip-Hop that the VA fellas from SuperNoVA and BellyOut are so fond of – so you should be pretty well versed on what to expect from feature releases by this group of artists.

Petey-O x C-Note x JL Collab For “Light It Up”

Virginia MCs sure like to stick together, and I can understand why. For this particular case, we have representatives from Belly Out an SuperNoVa. Petey-O, C-Note  & JL have jumped on a beat by ctru, in that order. Those wanting a break from the overly polished songs of the radio may find solace in this track of a more raw persuasion. Unfortunately we don’t have a download link, but you can stream via Soundcloud.

[Edit - You can now DL via Soundcloud too]

It’s “Another Day” by Jae Jin x J. Han x C-Note

In this DMV collaboration, singer Jae Jin recruited the help of J. Han from AMP and C-Note to join him on a track called “Another Day”. There were a lot of hands in the pot for this one with additional help coming from Fort Lee Music and Sky Muzik on the production end, among others. It’s a pretty decent track that touches upon faith and struggles – a fair way to start your Tuesday off on a contemplative note. Enjoy it? It’s a free DL via Bandcamp.

Lyricks x C-Note are “Bad”, And You Can Be Too!

It’s another visual drop from Lee, Rick – once again accompanied by C-Note. It’s some more of that boom-bap Hip-Hop that the VA residents tend to be oh so fond of. But the fun doesn’t end there as they are casting an open-call to all MCs and artists to take the beat and run with it too. Their favorite picks will make it into the final extended cut of the song. See more info after the break!

Lyricks Drops Videos for “High Road” ft C-Note & “Memories” ft Sam Ock x Jess Yang; and “The Last Year”

Virgina’s Ly to the Ricks has just unleashed a pair of videos for “High Road” and “Memories”. The former features his fellow VA brethren, C-Note and the latter is Sam Ock track with Jess Yang that Lyricks jumped onto. Both are great listens/watches but the “Memories” in particular has am eerily yet beautifully haunting quality to it. The two tracks are pretty different in style, giving you a variety of options for your listening/viewing enjoyment.

[edit] And now one more, “The Last Year”

[Album Release] JL x Manifest – Pull.Haul.Junkies Mixtape [Free DL]

Two-thirds of the Beautiful Cycle (JL x Manifest) camp has been out in Korea, but that hasn’t slowed down their grind one bit. In fact they’ve been busier than ever and here is their first post-domestic collection of tracks – the Pull.Haul.Junkies mixtape. There are a ton of supporting characters here too including Lyricks (of course), Khovito, MYK, Jin, Petey-O, C-Note and more. We’ve heard a couple tracks on here before including “Bloodsport“, “It Was Written“, and “Scarves“. It’s a free DL, check the Bandcamp widget below.

New Single from Manifest x C-Note – “Let God” [Free DL]

VA’s C-Note & Mani (who’s still doing his thing out in Korea) have just dropped a track called “Let God”. If you couldn’t tell by the title, the two emcees take a few minutes to reflect on their faith over the beat “Arabian Crime” by Nefarious. It’s chill, conscious, introspective and an overall good listen, especially for those that can relate to the topic at hand.

Lyricks Releases “Blessed Be His Name” In Remembrance of the Light of Love Incident

For those who haven’t heard, a church van got involved in a terrible accident involving in death and injuries as a retreat van lost control and tumbled down a snowy mountainside in California. The ripple effect of grief has been somewhat sizeable, affecting and convicting hearts all over. One such individual Lyricks, who has been moved to create music for a cause before. With the help of Petey-O and C-Note, he takes a sample of the classic Matt Redman worship song “Blessed Be Your Name” and flips it into a song of grief, resolution, and ultimately hope.

C-Note x Lyricks Share a “Flip Kick to the Face”

The SuperNoVA camp continues to stay busy, with C-Note accompanied by Lyricks dropping a couple verses and new video. But the best part is the little shoutout towards the end where they acknowledge our observation of their lack of downloadable links. Check it at the 1:42 mark. I love it haha. Both MC’s did a great job. C’s verse lyrics can be found after the jump.

Manifest x C-Note Drop “Hourglass”

Before Mr. Mani leaves for Korea he made sure to drop a new single entitled “Hourglass”. This track features another NoVa artist, C-Note. This song would have fit perfectly on Manifest’s last mixtape Open Bars. It’s got a mellow instrumental and introspective rhymes, a flavor of Hip-Hop I can almost always appreciate. This isn’t the type of track that will blow you away instantly, rather you gotta let marinate a little bit to fully appreciate.

Lyrics after the break.
