It’s been a little over a month since Connie Lim released her latest single, “LA City”, but today brings us the official MV for the Folksy Pop song. Lim and her team did a good job of capturing the reflective aura of the track, instilling a modern sense of calming nostalgia – as if we’re watching an entire video through the filters of Instagram. It may not be the visual tour de force that was “Sugar“, but it’s still an arresting watch on it’s own.

Connie Lim Shares a New EPK Video
Connie Lim has a new EPK video for you to watch. These things are usually a self-induced, self-congratulatory type of affair, but this is actually a pretty interesting watch with some live footage thrown in for good measure from a recent showcase. Often, we skip sharing these type of videos but we’re going to treat this as a decent (albeit short) interview clip and call it a night. Enjoy!

California’s Connie Lim has been making music for years, though her audience may be a bit more regionally focused than some of her more Youtube-savvy counterparts. So if you’ve been wondering who and what this singer/songwriter is all about, her interview with AARisings is a great place to start. If “LA City” is the first you’ve heard from her, you can find out more about the song and it’s inspirations as well as those that have made the artist who she is today. Def a recommended read.

See Connie Lim Perform the National Anthem for an NBA Game at the Staples Center

Cali native Connie Lim was recently invited to sing the National Anthem at a NBA game, the Trail Blazers at Clippers to be exact, and she sang the country’s song with aplomb. You can check out the fan-cam footage below, which is thankfully clean enough in quality for us to share. We’re proud to see more and more of our artists grace the stage at these professional sporting events.
Connie Lim Performs “Walk On” on thestream.tv
This is a cool little performance clip by Connie Lim where she shares her song “Walk On” for a stint on thestream.tv. Lim makes pretty cool use of a looper to add some light percussion & vocal pizzazz to her piano driven song. This piece has just enough bounce that I could imagine it as the backdrop to an Apple/Target/Amazon ad. What do you think?

Take a Listen to “The Harvest” by The Forrest Filosophy (Connie Lim)
As part of the promotional strategy for an upcoming show at Hotel Cafe, The Forrest Filosophy aka Connie Lim has posted up another original for you to check out. This one is titled “The Harvest”, and let me say right off the bat I’m really digging this one. Everything from the keyboard sounds to the quirky and curious melody and lyrics left me intrigued – I’d love to hear a studio version of this. If you’re in the LA, you should consider checking her out live on the 19th. I would, but I’m 2,620 miles away… so it’d be a little bit of a commute.
Connie Lim aka The Forrest Filosophy Shares “From My Lips”
Connie Lim has gone ahead with the process of re-branding herself as The Forrest Filosophy, and just posted up a new song under that alias. The following clip is a live performance of “From My Lips”. The footage is a little on the dark side, and the audio is unbalanced but it’s still a soothing listen and peek of things to come.
