The folks behind the Home:Word album, Magnetic North & Taiyo Na have finally put out the music video to their song “I Got My” featuring Jin. But I doubt you’re ready for what you’re about to see as the crew has dug deep and reached out to all their contacts, friends, affiliates, etc to be a part of this MV. There are cameos from the Blue Scholars, Denizen Kane, Conchita Campos, DFD, Christina Chung, FM, Thomas Apartment, James Ha, Vienna Teng, DanAKADan, El Gambina, Cynthia Lin, Dawen, Bambu, DJ Phatrick, Kiwi, Heather Park, Vudoo, Lyrics, Manifest, Alfa, AJ Rafael, Jay Legaspi and a whole lot more. Those are just some of the musicians, there are a ton of activists, media folk, dancers, artists, students, educators, and more who also had a role. This is easily one of the dopest concepts put to music and unifying MV’s I’ve seen all year. Great release.

New Cynthia Lin Interview w/ Taiwanese American
Taiwanese American has a new interview out with San Francisco transplant via New York singer/songwriter Cynthia Lin. They talk a about her new album Microscope briefly and share a performance she hosted at her own (baller status) home. It’s a calm, serene, intimate performance where the audience gets involved and sings along. It fits her style/musical personality perfectly.
Cynthia Lin Releases New LP – Microscope

We’re a little late to announce this but Cynthia Lin has got a new album out entitled Microscope. It’s a nine track release and serves as her 3rd full-length. She’s been kind of quiet on the media front but know we know why. You can read her description of the work below. From what I’ve heard, it’s a very soothing, mellow collection of songs.
though I wouldn’t call this a thematic album, the songs revolve around escapism, longing, hope, the truth of love, nostalgia, and ultimately self-discovery. please enjoy these songs, and share them far and wide.
You can purchase and stream the album in it’s entirety via the widget below!
Cynthia Lin Interview w/ ChannelAPA
ChannelAPA continues their interview rounds and have just posted up their latest with Cynthia Lin, an acoustic, jazz, soul type of singer from New York. She interestingly seems to have a very dualistic personality. On one hand she seems very cerebral and pragmatic, but clearly she has an artistic, creative, free-spirited side to her as well.
Cynthia Lin x Turtlist Media Release Performance Videos
Turtlist Media has posted up some performance clips of Cynthia Lin, show a couple weeks back while she was in Austin. She sings two of her originals (‘Blue and Borderlined’ & ‘Doppelganger’) from her previous two albums and a cover of the Alphaville throwback hit ‘Forever Young’, incorporating a little Canon in D for good measure. The latter two I particularly enjoyed. I also really liked their choice of location for this series. Rooftop Austin at dusk looks nice.
