The Hip-Hop duo of Demo & Uncut, better known to most as D-League, have started to leak a new joint called “Time is Now”. They groups shares their self-motivated story over a introspective/inspirational beat. Overall, it’s a pretty well rounded track and a good 3-minute listen. You can DL the track as a freebie, here.
Unfortunately, the content of this track ain’t for me, but reefer heads should appreciate this ode to a certain habit of the herbal persuasion. DJ Burn One once again handles the production for D-League, and though the beat fits, I kind of wish they used it for a topic I can relate more to. Humorous title aside, go ahead and check out the track, it’s a free DL via the below widget.
This could be our biggest round-up yet. We’ve got more music videos of covers and remixes for you, so no one-take-sessions or studio sessions here. These are those Youtube videos where the audio and video were done at different times, requiring that much more work to bring you just a few minutes of entertainment a piece. So if you’ve got some time to kill, go through this playlist of 14 (yes, FOURTEEN) MVs across various genres. Which ones are your favorites?
FL’s DL kicks off the new year by promoting the single, “Music is Amazing”. Production duties were handled courtesy of Urban Noize and the beat selection couldn’t have been better. Demo & Uncut continue to make the right strides in making their music have more mass appeal to those outside of the Sunshine State. The single can be found off their free Life Up EP that dropped late last year.
After a number of highly promoted leaks, the complete collective work known as the Life Up EP by Florida’s D-League has finally dropped. With this release, you get 9 tracks including the previously heard “We Are Kings“, “Big Dreams, 2Pac Nightmares“, “Ape Shit“, “Denzel” and “The Good Die Young“. Based on that selection alone, there’s a fairly diverse of set of music being represented here. If you want to check out the rest then go ahead and get it via Bandcamp to DL it for free.
If you were paying attention the first week of August, you may recall D-League dropping their single “Ape Shit”. The Florida duo have just released the official music video as well, where they give you a glimpse of how they do things IRL. As one would expect, the footage is of them doing exactly what the title suggests. Also, remember folks, their Life Up EP is dropping soon, so stay tuned for that.
If you’ve been wanting to hear a preview of Florida rap group, D-League‘s upcoming Life Up EP than this is the perfect opportunity for you. “We Are Kings” is a new track featuring Lucian on the hook, with the duo appearing to make all the right moves with this one. Let’s see if they can carry the momentum into the final project when it drops next month. Grab it from the widget below.
Check out the following footage of FL’s D-League performing their new song “Big Dreams, 2pac Nightmares” off their upcoming EP Life Up. They went for that radio anthem type of sound and I can’t say it was a bad move, the record shows a lot of promise. The video is from their listening party for the album, which I imagine we can expect in the not too distant future. Tickle me intrigued, the fellas have been exhibiting growth from day one.
Earlier in the month we posted up a song by D-League, dedicated to their fallen friend Kemar Clayton. The following is a short glimpse of the making of the track as they go behind the scenes of the studio session. I can always appreciate seeing an artist in their natural habitat, the studio .Hope to see more of these types of clips of life behind the mic.
It’s good to see the duo known as D-League staying busy with the promotions as of late. This latest cut is called “My Piece” and is one of the tracks that didn’t quite make the tracklist of their upcoming EP. Regardless, it’s a pretty dope song and I think it was a good choice for them to still share it. There seems to be a fair share of artists that have used this beat by either way, that hook is serious. DL the song here for free or via the widget below.
